It's still rather funny reading Chris Fowler defend both his and Herbstreit's ballot (via Twitter) against any perceived bias (even though Herbstreit was supposedly half-asleep and somehow had the same ranking as Fowler).
Don't know if it's a good idea to debate with irate Ohio State fans.
I actually prefer the College GameDay basketball crew with Jay Bilas to Herbie's crew.

Sadly, to me this just looks like one last juvenile attempt by Herbstreit to take a jab at TP.
Something in my mind sees KH thinking to himself, "I so hope that punk loses to Arkansas so I can vote his team into MAC status." (when we won, and with an impressive showing by TP) "Oh well, let's see how you like me putting you at 9th."
Maybe I'm over exaggerating the situation in my own mind, but as a father of 4 I've learned that 'When it looks like shit and smells like shit, it's probably shit!'

I have a bigger problem with his explanation of his voting than his actual voting. So he thinks Ohio State in the ninth best team in the country? Ok, whatever. Oh wait, you had them at 6 the week before beating the number 8 team in the country? Oh wait, they got jumped by Oklahoma after you had them 14 the week before? After beating an unranked team in an essential home game? Oh wait, now you were half asleep when filling out your ballot? Weren't you the one bitching about the Coaches Poll because most of the coaches don't care about the poll or watch other games? I realize it's the last poll Herpie but do your fucking job.

After the LSU game on Friday night, the only things that remained unsettled were the top-3 spots and where Nevada would end up. Pitt, Ky, and BC weren't going to get ranked. The Auburn-Oregon loser probably wasn't going to drop below Stanford or Ohio State.
So I had my ballot filled out except for the top-3 spots after Nevada won on Sunday night. Waiting to figure out the entire ballot until after the BCS Title Game and then saying you were tired is a BS excuse. Knowing that the ballot would be due a couple of hours after the game, and having the entire weekend beforehand to get it figured out, except for the top-3 spots, means there's no excuse for not putting some thought into the final poll of the year.
Folks, you can express negative opinions about Herbie, but don't just vent by swearing at him. 'Do your fucking job' is OK, but a short statement that does nothing but calling him a swear word is not.
