The one positive, the ONLY positive I can see from this is that teams will have to respect the run a little more under Smith.

Line him up in the shotgun (because our Oline sucks so bad that you can't line him up under center) and they'll have to have a LB spy Smith on almost every down. That'll free up an area for a receiver to become open.

With Zwick teams could just rush four or just blitz one guy and every one else would drop into coverage. So you'd have 5-6 defenders covering 3 receivers. Not exactly hard to do.

Without a rushing game we will lose every time.

At least Smith will have one full game to play against a team without a devastating defense. He'll get a chance to get used to a gameday atmosphere without taking the snap behind 3 scores on the 5 yard line in a hostile environment.

Yes, that was definitely the most important part of your post. Who the fans think should be the QB is almost always important to the success of the team.:roll1:

That's what kills me about this whole situation. Not only are "fans" happy that the guy went down. Simply for the fact that they, not the coaches, didn't have a chance to evaluate the other guy properly. But they actually think that their, not the coaches, opinion will somehow clear up who is the better player.

Tell you what. If Coach Tressel is listening to us, so he can fix the team. Rather than figuring out what the problem is, based on his own expertise. Then he should be shitcanned.

yeah, it's really that hard to sign up for 2 email accounts. One for email, the other to sign up for amazon, ebay, newspaper accounts. That's really hard to do. :roll1:
