QB Justin Fields (2019-20 B1G Off POY, 2020 Silver Football, 2019 B1G CCG MVP, Pittsburgh Steelers)

as the game left him and his running QB-centric offense behind

One of the greatest seven year runs in Ohio State history, yet he underachieved by any objective measure. It wasn't the running QB-centric-offense. It was Withers, Beck, Smith, and Davis.

"The QB is the product of the people around him."

Yes. Yes. And the Head coach is the product of the people around him.

I specifically recall posting on this site that some guys on here needed to slow their role after the Virginia Tech game in 2015 that it was not only the Greatest Offense in OSU history, it was the Greatest O of all time in college football. I recall getting bashed and pummeled by more than were on my side suggesting maybe just maybe we might want to conserve those statements hence we appear to look stupid later.

We all know how that offense turned out.

What if we used Won/Loss record as the objective measure?

Your belief is that Urban Meyer underachieved?
Won/loss record? Apparently you don't know what "objective" means in this context. An "objective measure" is one where you take some subset of the actual performance, and then compare it to a hypothetical performance that you create using your imagination.

For example, an objective measure can be made where you say, "OSU won one national championship in the last seven years, but I can easily imagine a scenario where they won two or three, given the talent they had. Therefore, OSU underperformed according to this objective measure."

You can do the same thing with playoff appearances, conference championships, and bad losses in order to obtain additional objective measures.

so by all objective measures, Jessica Alba is missing out on several thousand nights of pleasure by ignoring me and thus, underachieving.

Am I doing it right?

If you're not the greatest to ever do it in college football, you've underachieved in the post-BCS era.

Fun sidenote, the time Urban didn't underachieve in 2014 involved Saban massively underachieving in the Sugar Bowl. OSU does not win that game without Lane Kiffin's extensive help.

Second sidenote, it should have been his second title, as they would have beaten ND in 2012.

Correction, alternate universe Jaxbuck managed to spend the night with Jessica and was the second best pursuer of her company in the history of the game, doing so multiple times in multiple towns, yet all of those other times you did not close the deal show that you underachieved.

When you wrinkle your brow and wonder why people are not appreciating that you ever closed the deal, just accept that your wisdom and perspective is not as shrewd as theirs.
