QB Justin Fields (2019-20 B1G Off POY, 2020 Silver Football, 2019 B1G CCG MVP, Pittsburgh Steelers)

I hope he gets the right system and players around him at some point. The NFL has never been great with creativity though and with him you have to be creative---b/c he's both new school (incredible runner) and old school (as a passer he's more drop back, look, throw deep strikes, not the new school type of passer that every playcaller seems to want---the quick short passes.)

I don’t see him as a “stats machine” QB based on his inability to read defenses. That said, he can be a key piece to a winning team if they build around him properly.

He needs Chicago to have a top 10 defense and a very good run game which in turn means a solid O-line. He can improvise and throw off the play-action. It’s actually a pretty simple formula…..will be interesting to see if they can build it.

I can unequivocally state, Bryce Young is not the answer. I really think Bryce would get eaten alive in that stadium. I know Chicago wants to build an indoor stadium in future, but in present day, you need a mobile QB who can make plays in terrible elements. That is Fields in spades……but you need a defense that can get stops and an o-line worth a shit,

Justin be healthy and prepared to start the season. I don’t care about you basketball skills. Be all in on this season..if you don’t know the Bears have two first round draft choices. This season is not about the playoffs or title it’s a referendum on You. As a Bears fan I am rooting for you. It’s all in your hands.
