Smooth, to the point that he kinda lulls you to sleep and then drops some absurd throw to Wilson or Olave. In total control right now and it feels like there's plenty more in the tank to work in as the season goes on.

Didn't get hurt missed like 2 throws high all night. He was great. Could have pulled it 2 or 3 times on runs that got nowhere for 10-15 yards this week but I'm fine with him not taking the extra hits.

Absolute master class by Fields last night. His down field throws were on point, and how about all those passing plays on 4th-and-short? Those were executed so smoothly and should give opposing teams nothing but worry when they're studying film on Ohio State.

There will almost certainly be some weather games this year that keep his efficiency below 200 for a game, but the pedsters probably have the last defense that will do it. After a season of development, it may not even happen in the playoff.

Sure, a lot of people are going to put minimums on what a QB has to achieve to be considered the GOAT but that’s not fair because there are too many factors outside their control.

If we are just talking talent alone, Fields is absolutely in a class of his own.

My QB calculus is, am I ever/always nervous as to whether a play will be successful? Over the years, there have been varying levels of anxiety with our guys, ranging from none (see Bauserman because I just didn't see them getting it done so anything we got was a gift ), to acute anxiety (Braxton if we had to throw), to latent/lurking anxiety (Smith/JTB). There's no anxiety with Fields on the opposite end of the spectrum from Bauserman. You just know that he'll get it done and that he knows it. He's got the right car and the keys and he knows how to drive it.
