QB Justin Fields (2019-20 B1G Off POY, 2020 Silver Football, 2019 B1G CCG MVP, Pittsburgh Steelers)

So damn excited to see Justin play, we seriously have 3 weeks until we get to see it? Get me out of this warped purgatory. Glad to hear Jameson Williams and Sermon look good though. If Williams is the talent he was as a recruit on paper, the top 3 WR unit is going to be really fun to watch.

Pardon me for focusing on just this part of your post, but consider that the Buckeyes only need Williams OR any of the Fab Four Freshmen to live up to their billing to field a secondary coach’s nightmare.

Williams is an x-factor for this year and somewhat forgotten due to the insane freshman WR class. But he has all the potential to be a star in his own right. Speed like Campbell but more refined at this stage. Really hope he impresses enough to take the other outside WR spot, or at least push for a lot of playing time.

If OSU has two WRs that can take the top off a defense, that will lead to a lot of big plays and a lot of room in the intermediate/short passing game for guys like Wilson, Ruckert, and other WRs.

Just listened to McShay and Mel discuss on Get Up about how the gap between Lawrence and Fields is huge. They haven't even seen Fields play this year so how can you really assess the growth the two have made in the off-season? Lawrence is obviously going to look good against a cupcake ACC schedule he's been up against the past few seasons. Can't wait to see Fields ball out against the B1G in 3 weeks. Ohio Against The World.

McShay and Mel are not the only ones who feel that way. Fields needs to keep his head down and ball out. They both will get drafted ..I’d want to avoid the bottom teams in the NFL.,

I know this is an ignorant way to measure talent because so many things are different, but Ohio State has not put a QB into the NFL who has had success since who? Let's just look at recent years.

Troy Smith - Didn't make it
Terrelle Pryor - Moved to WR
Braxton Miller - Moved to WR
JT Barrett - Never taken an NFL rep
Dwayne Haskins - Threatened to be benched
Joe Burrow - Transferred and is looking like a future All Pro already

Again, that's a dumb way to measure, but the talking heads will absolutely mention it.

Tomczak is the answer to your question. He is still by far the Buckeye QB with best NFL career.
