Likewise I’d hate Justin Fields sitting out the NC or scUM game over a false positive test as seen with Jimmy Johnson and thousands of others just one test is suspect. Btw 2 tests would not be 99 % accurate.

i don’t understand the math.

The test is proven to be 90% accurate. So if test one is positive at 90% accuracy, and test 2 is positive at 90% accuracy, what percentage do you put it at?

Not trying to be combative, just understand your math.

To qualify as a reliable test they have to reach the 50 per cent accuracy level..to get to 90 you’d have to do multiple tests. The best test developed is no where near 90per cent according to the FDA web site. The 50 percent effectiveness level is what vaccines must reach to gain approval also.

but these tests have proven to be 90% accurate against nasal swabs in NBA.

A day after the Associated Press announced its preseason top-25 rankings, including nine teams that won't take part in fall sports in 2020, the AP named its preseason All-American lists. These lists included 23 players that will not play this fall due to conference decisions to cancel football in 2020 because of COVID-19.

Among those 23 are three Ohio State players, offensive lineman Wyatt Davis, cornerback Shaun Wade and quarterback Justin Fields. Davis and Wade were both named AP preseason first-team All-Americans, while Fields was named a second-team preseason All-American.

Just curious, who is backing up Fields this season? I hope we don't need him but if Fields is quarantined for 21 days at some point...

For at least the first few games, after that it'll be anyone's guess

And how could you be a Buckeye fan and not LOVE this kid! He of anyone in CFB outside of Lawrence could sit out the year and no one would blame him. But with him returning, I just don't know how many could not see the Buckeyes as favorites for the NC. Even without Davis and Wade(who could still return) the talent is on another level. The rest of CFB right now:
