QB Julian "Just" Sayin (Official Thread)

Kid is incredibly sharp considering the little time he's had in the system and State. Trying to temper enthusiasm but it's damn hard

At the very least anyone ahead of him right now needs to be on it at all times. Looks like a guy that’s been busting his ass and wants to play now.

He doesn’t look interested in waiting — dudes going out there and trying to get it. Respect

I think that's probably just how he was playing around in the video. I'm sure that if he had footwork problems we would've heard something about it in the spring. Looked to me like he was Mahomes riffing and you can't be good at improvisation if you're not solid in the fundamentals.
He was most certainly riffing or practicing on improvising a throw, there's no fundamental issues with Julian and the video was just to show off his ridiculous talent (and it was impressive to say the least). You've gotta have arm angles and creative footwork for when things break down, there's a reason most QBs are practicing on that to round out their game.

I'm not going to be hyperbolic or get ahead of myself, but this kid has an unreal ceiling and a very high floor. I'll leave it there.

No heat, of course, but I love the spin and accuracy he was able to get out of the wrist-sidearm. That shouldn't be primary, but it's great to have in the quiver. We didn't hear about footwork problems, but we did hear about his really high processing speed. Ideally, what that allows you is to operate efficiently in the heat rather than immediately bailing out with a run or ill-advised sidearm. That's where the special is.

In a way reminds me of the Cleveland kid that threw sidearm when called for, played for U Miami, and had a cup of coffee (?) with the Browns back in time. Can see his face, but not his name. I'd take those bona fides. Go Bucks.
