QB Julian "Just" Sayin (National Champion)

This worry troll stuff is getting old.

Just Trust the Coaches and shit.
This policing of attitudes is getting old. People are allowed to express concerns and critiques in addition to excitement and praise. Not everything has to be positive. That doesn't lead to engaging discussions. Why not just explain what you disagree with?

I think some take me too literally… I don’t stay awake at night thinking of our QB battle for 2025 lol.

Just a figure of speech man. I guess I could’ve said “I’m skeptical”
I think the concerns for Sayin’s size are a legitimate thing to bring up. That being said, given Day’s track record with QBs, I’ll defer to his judgment…..he obviously sees something in this kid.

Yeah I get it but we did get Kyle McCord for a year too lol

We will all find out together in like 8 months.

That said if we win in 2 days I could care less who we roll with haha (joking I probably will when that game rolls around too lol)

Valid point. You don’t hit on all of them, but if he’s willing to let a veteran who was 1B with McCord last year walk…it seems like he’s pretty bullish on this kid.

The only thing that concerns me is his size. He’s not very big at all and I don’t even know the last time we had someone his size. Maybe Troy but he was pretty built for his height.

I have to admit I’m pretty uncomfortable with what we have at QB but I’m actually most intrigued by Lincoln. He’s bigger, faster, and who knows throwing wise with any of our QBs.

Size wise TSC is prototype though
I'm pretty sure Joe Burrow hit OSU's campus at the same size. And by the time he transferred he was up to 215. Sayin has plenty of time to bulk up. It's not like he's 175lbs. He's the size of a college freshman QB. And I'm sure in an elite program like OSU he could be playing at 210 by season as a true soph. And there's no reason to think he couldn't get to 215 by year 3, which is what Burrow was when he left college

CJ Stroud's measurables were one inch taller and about 10 pounds heavier when he was measured for the draft. I'm optimistic the S&C staff will be able to add some good weight to Julian's frame over the next couple of seasons.

But how big are his hands?

I probably missed it, but unless we are talking about the unfortunate event of Howard getting hurt and who would go in (Brown or Sayin), why are we talking about this before the Natty? I would strongly favor Sayin in that event if that is the topic, I appreciate Brown staying for the rest of the year but he has looked pretty bad. But a healthy Howard and we'll figure it out next year after we hopefully see Howard hoisting a trophy tomorrow night.
