Joe Bauserman off day = 16/30 189yds 1 TD 0 INT & the W
Terrelle Pryor off day = 17/31 221yds 1 Td 2 INT 2 Fumbles Lost & the L

I'll take Joe's "off" day today.

A blocked punt, missed FG, fumble while we're driving and killing the clock, Stoney's dropped 4th down catch while driving, [Mark May]ty tackling on quick hits, plus numerous other plays resulted in a very [censored] poor performance today. I don't think Joe was the main reason.
That's a little miss leading, Pryor only lost to Wisconsin(on the road), USC(at home), and Penn St(at home freshman yr). Texas bowl game I believe he didn't start, but those are all tough teams. Not saying Toledo is bad or that I don't like Joe, because I do. I am just saying that was an unfair comparison on Pryor's behalf. I just hope they work it all out and this could be one of those amazing years.

Probably because you arent at practice and cant evaluate him daily from a head coaches position.

What do you have to be at practice to see?? I can already see with my eyes that he has a more consistant release point and he has way better timing on out routes. Braxton with his performance in week 1 deserved a shot at (2-3) series in this game especially when Bauserman's arm slot is all over the place and was extremely inconsistant. Late throws and inconsistant arm slots are not something you should see out of a 5th ear QB. Braxton deserves to see some series and at least provides a change of pace, even if they are equally consistant throwing the ball.

Those Pryor stats are from when tOSU lost to Purdue in 2009.

Yes, we should call up Fickell and tell him that what he sees on a daily basis is nothing compared to a bloggers TV set. That his highly paid, and damn good QB coach has no validation compared to that of "Buckeye4ever21"....lol.

Im beginning to think that how OSU brought Pryor in, in his frosh year is the same expectations everyone now has for Miller.

We were in a shoot out with our season hanging in the balance, but you wanted to negate all of the coaches opinions and QB grades because our team is failing as a whole? That sounds like you are just grasping at straws.

No offense to you man, Im sure you watch a lot of football and play football games on your XBox, but at the end of the day Ill take the opinions and calls of Luke Fickell and Nick Siciliano over "Buckeye4ever21".

That is a little misleading. Did he lose to Purdue as well? Did we lose to Toledo today? Ohio State teams in the past have always looked a little rough early in the year and have been able to get better as the year progresses. We will see if this is the case this year. There is always the early games like Navy a few years ago that we look bad but win despite of ourselves.

Agree man. Problem is that people dont understand having a bad day, were not always going to play great. And just because we are playing bad doesnt mean you need to shake things up on the Depth Chart unless it is a pretty clear issue.

I really didn't think he was very bad today. He certainly struggled with his accuracy on deep passes, but other than that I thought he was alright. At the very least he didn't turn the ball over. Certainly not a performance deserving of getting booed, that was some shameful stuff from the "fans" who did that today. I feel bad for him though, I think if fans weren't convinced that Braxton is going to be QB-jesus Joe's performance would be evaluated more fairly.

He missed an open Devin Smith so many times today. He had quite a few open guys that I saw running in the secondary and obviously couldn't find them cause he wasn't going through his reads. I wanted to see Braxton in the first half but it became apparent that the coaches were never gonna give him a shot mid way through the 3rd quarter. I kept looking up and we still had just 98 yards passing like late in the 3rd quarter. You dont have to be a QB coach or a head coach to see a QB is inconsistant and is off with his timing get a clue SEREbuckeye. When a QB isn't getting it done seeing a change of pace at QB for a series isn't a bad idea. It's called making an adjustment if something isn't working.

Yeah, I don't think Joe was awful today...just very average. He's in a very tough spot. Fans miss the play making ability of Pryor and we all know the air apparent is Braxton. Not sure there's any way Joe can live up to the expectations.

I was going off my head and forgot that terrible game, sorry. But my point was he didn't lose often, and didn't think he should be put down. He did win a lot of games for TOSU.

People pointing to the no TO's: That's all good and fine but I'll trade a turnover now and then for a touchdown. The mis throw he had to Devin Smith when Smith was wide open was disheartening. He threw one or two deep balls to receivers that weren't open, which would be pretty risky against better teams.

I just don't understand how we seemed committed to a 2 qb system yet we didn't even give the other guy a look when Joe was having a tough day throwing and the line was having a tough time getting ANY push. Make the change in that situation, at least for a series or two, and see if your mobile QB can get something going.

I was very disappointed to hear and see people booing and cussing at Joe. I'll be honest, I wanted to see Braxton in there as much as the next guy. But I saw SOBER adults calling Joe this and that, booing, then cheering their asses off when he'd throw for a first down. Grow up people.

This is Joe's "off day?" What if it isn't? What if he looked good against Akron because...gee, I don't know...it's Akron? I hope it was an off day, that's for sure. If it isn't, if this is just how he is (and I've seen nothing over the last four years to make me think otherwise), then I'm hoping to see Braxton sooner than later.

Absolutely. Always the same garbage, and sadly it isn't very isolated.

What's worse, is we used to hear this absurdity at Pryor's expense demanding Bauserman be put in.
