I was at the game, but I don't remember the booing. I was 11. I remember that he (Tupa) was pretty unpopular. At that point in the year, the Buckeyes were 5-3-1, and having a pretty miserable end of the season. I think they had lost to Indiana that year.

My senior year at tOSU. It wasn't pretty and Tupa was NOT popular.

I only "met" him - if you can call it that - once. It was in the rest room of the underground bar next to Mustard's. It was crowded, he's exiting the room and I'm entering, we both do an indecisijig then stop facing each other. We're both drunk but he looked drunker.

That was it. What a guy.

I'm not going to get down on this kid...errr not so young man. He had a bad game, ok dreadful. So did his receivers, several bad drops of balls that should have been caught. I felt many of the plays called took too long to develop against a speed team like Miami. Worst offensive performance that I can remember.

Hell by the second quarter I was wondering why we were even attempting passes...or had a quarterback in the game. We had great success just hammering the ball. I was looking for the single wing. Then we put the meat grinder away and everything went down the tubes again. Hope it wasn't due to our brain trust losses over the last year.

I hope Joe gets whatever it was worked out. This looks to be a strange year and who knows who we will need before its over.

JB has lost all confidence and the receivers cannot get open! Defense blew this game! Poor tackling and lack of intensity from the defense in the second half. When does Basketball start?

If Joe is the sole reason this team is struggling so bad, I'd understand...but cmon folks. There are numerous issues right now

Born in Strasburg, Va., Joe Bauserman played his sophomore through senior high-school seasons for the renowned Lincoln program in Tallahassee, Fla., where he excelled at football and as a pitcher. Drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates out of high school, he played in their farm system for three seasons before opting to give college football a try. At Ohio State, he was the backup to Terrelle Pryor in 2009 and 2010, and he assumed the starting job this season only to lose it to freshman Braxton Miller in game four.

Q -- As you stood there on senior day waiting to be introduced, what did you think the crowd reaction was going to be?

A -- I wasn?t sure, because you start thinking of the past, and I?ve thrown an incompletion again, and the whole place boos. But I think the fans appreciate that you?ve put your time in and you?ve tried to do the right things, regardless of what else you?ve done.


Q -- When your name was called, were you surprised to hear arguably the best applause of the day?

A -- It felt great. I was surprised, to be honest. I didn?t think I would get that big a reception. I am grateful for the Buckeye Nation giving me that. It was fun.
