QB J.T. Barrett (B1G FOY, All American, Silver Football Award, 3x B1G QBOY, National Champion)

Cam Newton would have won just as many games as Tebow. Newton won the bcs title in 2010. Lets not be silly, Meyer has no clue how to judge quaterbacks. He had Cardale third string. He is a clueless tool who cannot evaluate this one position.
Cam Newton was a cripple, sparky. That's why Tebow started in 2008. But since you just regurgitate other people's lazy takes, I wouldn't expect you to know that.

2010 has zero relevance to Tebow, who ran out of eligibility in 2009 and narrowly missed his THIRD NC. 2010 would have been Newton's NC run at Florida if he wasn't a constant rule breaker and felon and thrown out of the football team and school. He didn't really stop breaking the rules after being sent down to Juco either nearly bringing down Auburn in the process.

Cardale was third string for a very good reason and that became quite evident in 2015. Not that I'd expect any sliver of nuance from you.

Tim Tebow. Aaron Hernandez. Percy Harvin. Maurkice and Mike Pouncey. Joe Haden. Brandon Spikes. Riley Cooper. Even a young Cam Newton was there, awaiting his chance to start under center.

The Gators' coaching staff under Meyer was also formidable, boasting future head coaches of major programs in Strong (Louisville, Texas), Dan Mullen (Mississippi State) and Addazio (Temple, Boston College).

But the unrelenting drive that thrust the Gators into college football folklore proved unsustainable. A brilliant coach lost his fire. Fights once born of intense competition became sparked by contempt and disrespect. A culture of favoritism was perceived by many, and combined with myriad off-field issues, it slowly eroded the program's foundation.

You should cite your sources, copy-and-paster.

Um this makes me nervous. I don't care how minor a surgery is. Surgery and playing within a week really don't go together.
You have to believe that UFM isn't a moron... If UFM notices that JT is gimping around and isn't using his legs when he throws you have to believe he will pull him ASAP.

I just hope he doesn't give JT too much time if he clearly isn't healthy enough to play because we can ill-afford to go down 14 to these guys

Cardale was third string behind 2x B1G MVP, 2x B1G POY Braxton Miller, and future 3x B1G QB of the Year. Both of which were B1G Freshman of the Year.

Your stupidity is astounding.

Had both ACLs pop on me (left knee in '92, right knee in '02) and had to have arthroscopic surgery to clean up the meniscus twice on the left knee after the fact.
Both of those clean ups were outpatient with no PT needed.
I would say that JT is in MUCH better condition than I was at the time, and I was playing pick-up b-ball at the gym 2 days after the last surgery.

This is a great perspective as when many of us hear surgery it's understandably concerning... thanks for posting this.

I’d say it’s still a bit concerning if he’s playing this Saturday. Depending on how frequently he runs the ball, a big hit to that knee while he’s still recovering could be a very bad thing.

JK said he looked great in practice, so we’ll have to hope he’s as healthy as we’re being led to believe.
