In all honesty, how does JT say he's playing next week so soon? I don't care whether it was the camera man, the play in the second half, or an "ongoing meniscus problem", he can't possibly know that he's the TEAM'S best option for next week so soon after injuring himself. That's a different argument altogether, and I don't even know that you have a point arguing against a Heisman winner with a career 66% passing and 88-16 TD to INT ratio (?), but I'm just taking things from an injury standpoint. If JT is ineffective because of ongoing issues, he isn't the team's best option.

1) Tebow won 2 natties, which precludes the need for the rest, but just for laughs, let's continue

2) Newton became the backup as a true frosh in 2007 and played (he was ahead of Brantley).

3) In the opener in year 2 (2008), Newton got injured for the year. Hint: Tebow won a NC this season.

4) Later that season, Newton was stealing test results and stole a laptop from another student. When the fuzz closed in, he flung the laptop out of the window He was suspended and facing expulsion for three instances of academic fraud.

It was the simplification of our approach and commintment to the run that made us more effective with Haskins out there...ala 2014.

And the fact that Haskins put the ball on the money giving guys the ability to catch in stride and keep running 6 out of 7 attempts.

Maybe Urban got irate over "CameraManGate" in order to set a precedent for sitting JT against Bucky.

I don't feel confident with JT in there. He holds on to the ball too long, fires fastballs out wide to guys who get tackled right away, underthrows deep balls....even his TD to Baugh was a technically bad throw (it was a high laser that Baugh snagged rather than a perfectly placed lead pass). That's before we even talk about how many damn times he runs the ball.
