QB Dwayne Haskins Jr. (All B1G, B1G OPOY, Silver Football, Rose Bowl MVP, R.I.P.)

The big problem with the imbalance in stats is that all of the counting stats benefit Haskins because the run game and defense dictated he had to pass for four quarters. Detractors argue this disqualifies Haskins for the same reasons it has disqualified QBs from Oklahoma St, Texas Tech, or Hawaii for at least fifteen years. Supporters will say Alabama still wins 12 games and goes to the playoff with Hurts, Oklahoma would still do the same considering Mayfield won the Heisman in the same offense last year, but Ohio State is probably an 8-4 team without Dwayne.

I recognize both sides of this argument. Let's look through the history of BP and see how many of us pounded the table for Graham Harrell or Colt Brennan or whoever else. The answer is probably zero. If I'm being honest with myself and I didn't think anyone of them ever deserved it, I've got to reevaluate every reason why I think "my guy" does deserve it. There are three things Haskins has over any of those predecessors: A ridiculous TD:INT ratio, a prototype NFL body, and an Ohio State jersey.

OK, there's another difference: Haskins is in the Big Ten doing this against Big Ten defenses, including the #1 defense in the country in a rivalry game. But was that on it's own enough? Were the games against Maryland, Michigan, and Northwestern enough?

Had the 2007 race not involved Tim Tebow and an extremely impressive season from Darren McFadden, I would’ve been all for Brennan. He put up insane passing stats. Tebow just did it all. Which is why I think Murray ultimately wins it this year. The stories are already written about how awesome it is that a Heisman winner goes on to play baseball, and the ability to have this generation’s Bo Jackson. I’ll be disappointed if Tua wins. His stats are impressive, but he largely disappeared in big game(s), even before getting dinged up. I agree that it should be Murray, Haskins, then Tua 1-2-3.

All I can say is F the Heisman ceremony tonight. Definitely will not be watching it.

In my opinion it should go to Kyler, Haskins 2nd, Tua a distant 3rd. Haskins is the best passer by a slight margin, Kyler makes up and passes Haskins this year for me with his rushing ability. Tua is hella talented, but no way does he impress like the top two.

It's an anomly to me. Tua doesn't even look good throwing the ball, it seems he just stares down one guy, under throws a lot, but somehow the Bama WRs are wide open. Amaazing execution of what the desired outcome is, but it just doesn't seem natural and fluid like Kyler and Haskins.

BUT, the insane amount of disrespect shown toward Haskins is what gets me. ESPN fucktards acting like he isn't even there. I honestly wish Haskins would just walk out and say fuck this ceremony.

I know one thing for sure. Haskins is going to be the one playing well on Sunday's, Kyler will be doing well in the MLB, and Tua will be another Tim Tebow quick spurt and out i in the NFL.

Again, Fuck ESPN!

Yeah they gave him one spot vs constant Tua and Kyler chatter. Hope he comes out and throws for 500+ in the rose bowl. I would love him to come back for one last go around but seeing him starting to be talked about as a potential top 10 pick I understand why he would go.

What I find completely dumb is all these talking heads saying Tua's "Heisman moment" was in the NC game....mother fuckers, that was last season! These idiots have wanted to give him this award since that game. Morons

Where is Zeke's Heisman then?
Tim Beck losing his marbles and forgetting we had the best RB in the country against MSU isn't even close to Tua getting replaced.
