QB Dwayne Haskins Jr. (All B1G, B1G OPOY, Silver Football, Rose Bowl MVP, R.I.P.)

Obviously some ares where he struggled, but man....hitting those crossing routes in stride was flippin' beautiful.

The throw to McCall in the Rutgers game stood out. Dropped that in the bucket outside the numbers on the wheel routes for McCall to book to the end zone without breaking stride.

OSU hasn’t had a QB that could make that throw since Troy Smith.

It’s interesting seeing the scores and play calls as he comes into these games. It’s clear early on the coaches were letting him throw a bit more, then tightened up the playbook later in the season with more play action/RPO calls. Then you get to the TTUN game and it’s like, oh shit and you would think he had much more previous situational experience than he was given. The kid is a thrower, let him play to his strength.

The assumption is the playbook will swing more toward Wilson’s this year, right?

I don't even have to watch the highlight- I keep replaying that CJ Saunders TD on a post vs. UNLV. Unreal play- look off, then the arm between 2 defenders.

Same. I remember watching that throw live and thinking that this is the most NFL pass I have seen come from one of our QB's in my lifetime. That and on the far sideline throws. His arm talent is undeniable. If he has the mental aspect and leadership (I think he does), he can do amazing things this year if the OL does their job.

If the OL is solid and he has improved chemistry with the WRs...he will be very dangerous. I've seen parts of this before, but I don't think I appreciated some of the throws he makes look easy.

I'd probably change it to: If the OL is solid, Weber/Dobbins provide a stong running game, and the WRs can just hold on to all the balls that hit them in the hands...he will be very dangerous.

:oh:....:io:
