QB Discussion Thread, Cotton Bowl and 2024

Dillan Gabriel and Dante Moore are available. I was looking forward to seeing Lincoln do his thing. This seems similar to the Fields - Martell situation except Tate didn't get a bowl game to shine.

I didn't watch a lot of Gabriel, but seemed like he piled up stats against mediocre teams and wasn't great in tough games.

For Day to make this move hopefully it means he has a lot of confidence in someone on the roster.

Not tring to pick on Kyle, but he struggled with his nerves more than anything. That would have been hard to predict in practice. Some dudes are gamers, some aren't. Let's find out.
I know there's the whole HS vs college aspect, but he was a 3-time state champ in PA, so I had always figured the "too big of a moment" thing wouldn't be an issue for him.

Don't know if it was Day's move.

That's how I am reading it.

I think team McCord felt they had been done wrong with the OL they put Kyle behind, saw Marv leaving and said you know what? We're out. I don't fully agree with them but I can see it.

Day's reaction and comment on this makes a lot more sense now from that angle.
