QB Discussion Thread, Cotton Bowl and 2024

Y’all do know the bowl game is in 2023 and a QB might be needed there? Maybe consider expanding the scope of this thread?
I don't care if Day rotates Lincoln and Brown series after series. It's a scrimmage. Improve the team for next year by evaluating your talent in front of an audience.

Not tring to pick on Kyle, but he struggled with his nerves more than anything. That would have been hard to predict in practice. Some dudes are gamers, some aren't. Let's find out.

I don’t think it’s smart to treat things like a scrimmage. I think you have to try the best to win the game - especially the final game for a number of seniors and other players.

I don’t think it’s a good thing for team culture over the years to instill that bowl games that aren’t playoffs don’t matter.

If you can’t take spring and fall camp and learn what you need to learn in actual, truly meaningless scrimmages about your QB situation then that’s a different problem.

You always try to win!!

I have seen it all my life. Some guys practice great, and then fold under the lights. I thought after the ND win Kyle had turned the corner, but then it seemed like every first half until Michigan state he struggled mightily.

The pressure at OSU is insane. I personally couldn't handle it, so I hope people realize I am not tring to be mean to McCord. It's 100k strong staring straight at you every snap. Nerves of steel are required.

Dillan Gabriel and Dante Moore are available. I was looking forward to seeing Lincoln do his thing. This seems similar to the Fields - Martell situation except Tate didn't get a bowl game to shine.
