QB CJ Stroud (All B1G, 2022 B1G QB of the Year, All-American, NFL OROY, Houston Texans)

My concern, first and foremost, is CJ's health. He was hurt during pre-season as noted by BTN reporters on their visit to OSU. I watched him rotating his arm constantly during the Minnesota game, the Oregon game, and last week. His reluctance to pull the ball down and run for it, something he had demonstrated he was capable of doing, seemed to also suggest that he wasn't @ 100%.

If Day believes that CJ gives the Bucks the best chance to win a game, and if he believes CJ is physically capable, then I trust his call. But I also think back to 1969 and Woody picking Rex Kern with back spasms over Ron Macejowski who was at 100% and had proven capable in previous games when Kern was hurt, to start in The Game. It was clear from the first quarter on that Kern was not "on" that day, but Woody stuck with him until the 4th quarter by which time Michigan smelled victory.

I don't think he's played badly but I also don't think he's played well enough to close the door. I'm fine with giving him a week off and seeing what McCord can do, whether it's really due to injury or just to see what McCord can do. This kind of drama where you basically have a referendum on the position after every game is just going to be the new normal if Day keeps having QB rooms with multiple 5 stars who are similar in age.

If that becomes the new normal, you won’t have to worry about a QB room with multiple 5 stars.

Which is a good problem to have. Hell, Alabama's QB room only has one 5 Star guy:

JALEN MILROE Fr 4 Star
BRAXTON BARKER rsJr n/a
BRYCE YOUNG So 5 Star
PAUL TYSON rsSo 4 Star
STONE HOLLENBACH rsSo 2 Star

Ewers NIL deals causing him to enroll early hurt Days plan ..Ewers wasn’t to play till 23. I wonder if he can wait that long..

It's possible that Ewers considers this his HS year with college coaching, NFL money, and a jump start on the 2022 season. When he arrived late for Fall camp and lost additional practice time with an (undisclosed) injury he had to know he wasn't in serious contention to start (or even play much) this season. Regardless, it's anybody's guess who will be QB1 in 2022.

Buckeyes football has resembled Real Housewives of New Jersey in too many ways this season.
Day is controlling and likes to keep injuries squabbles and the like under wraps. The rumors have been worse than the facts..tOSU is speculated about in the social media , media more than any other entity not counting the political arena. The Stoud “benching” has created millions of words of content. Day said 20!words about it. Lol

Housewives show makes me despair for humanity when I walk through a room and see it on. I am instantly saddened that 1) those people exist and 2) other people find their existence not only tolerable but entertaining.

Buckeyes have been bad and not much fun so far but they don't make me wonder if there's a meteor out there with our name on it and if it's impact would actually be a bad thing.
