Do you even tathan, bro?
Tate Martell vs Rutgers 2018: 10/10 .. 121 yards .. 1 TD .. Efficiency: 234.64
Slightly higher for the whole game; not in the same solar system for the half.

As regards R.J.: I used to watch his YouTube channel. Like @sparcboxbuck , I found him to be pretty knowledgeable for a guy that tries to cover all of FBS. He was especially high on TreVeyon Henderson during his recruitment. I dropped my subscription to his channel sometime during 2020 though (don't remember when). His schtick just got old, and knowledgeable or not, I ended up just being bored with him.
He has always been a fan of C.J. Stroud, and after last night I can see why.
Very true, and CJ certainly settled down and threw more accurately in the second half. But we should all remember that most of those yards were YAC, courtesy of some astounding athletes who caught what CJ threw.CJ Stroud 1st Game: 13/22 .. 294 yards .. 4 td .. int .. Efficiency: 222.25
CJ Stroud 2nd Half: 5/8 .. 236 yards .. 4 td .. Efficiency 475.30
That is probably the highest passing efficiency in any half by any Ohio State QB ever.
First half efficiency was 77.66, so it's safe to say that the jump from 1st half efficiency to 2nd half efficiency in his 1st game (or any game) is the highest ever for Ohio State. There's a very good chance it's the highest such jump for any team at any level in the history of football.
True but also shouldn't act like he was throwing crossing routes destroying Michigan all those throws except the one to Henderson were 20ish yard or more down the fieldVery true, and CJ certainly settled down and threw more accurately in the second half. Of course he did what you say. But he by no means demonstrated facility in delivering the deep ball. And his stat line is primarily a function of his receivers' excellence in securing YAC.You mean those times when he managed to deliver the ball to his playmakers in space? Isn't that what he is supposed to do? Saying that we need to remember that there was a lot of YAC is like saying he got them the ball too soon or something IMO. Looked like he got them the ball on time, and where it needed to be to me.

Don't misunderstand me, I'm not disappointed in CJ nor lobbying for change. But the fact is his completion percentage last night was below 60, and he's not (yet) competitive with the likes of Haskins and Fields.

I thought his shoulder was dinged. He kept reaching for it and rotating it between plays.
