Again, this didn’t seem to phase him when he said he’d sit out our bowl game and let the younger QB get the practice reps and game experience.

He was solidly known as a player that was going to declare.

I personally don’t think this is about legacy at all….if he’s had a change of heart I think it has to be around his development and other circumstances we aren’t currently fully aware of. JMO.

I don't think anyone is debating whether he will turn pro.

Odds are on your side…..but there’s something going on behind the scenes.

CJ isn’t an attention seeker at all….super humble kid. Devotes everything to god, etc.

He isn’t just milking this for no reason……there’s something going on behind scenes…..I’m very confident of that. Doesn’t mean he’s coming back to tOSU but could certainly be correlated to other things we aren’t aware of (my guess trying to determine where he ends up in NFL…..likely trying to use college NIL to leverage where he wants to go in draft). JMO.

If I'm CJ, I'd want to do everything possible, as far vetting who would draft me, to avoid what Justin Fields and some other rookie QBs have had to endure in recent years.

Staying at OSU another year, with some NIL money, definitely wouldn't be as lucrative as an NFL contract. But if he gets drafted by the wrong NFL team and he breaks during his rookie season, his career is basically over.

How many rookie QBs have we seen that happen to in the NFL in the last 10 years?
