QB Cardale '12 Gauge' Jones (B1G Champion, National Champion)

Just by ways of an update, that Oregon fan did text me to acknowledge that Cardale was indeed a 3* and was a redshirt sophomore after prep school for a year. Also acknowledged that I was right in the whole him beating his team thing. Classy bunch but let's not make this about me...Cardale needs a parade, a statue, and his own massage chair. In that order.

Fine, but please no free tattoos

I motion to add "tOSU Legend" to the title of this thread.

I know it's been said many times, but it bears repeating. What Jones accomplished over these last 3 games is simply amazing. Finishing strong with a decisive National Championship (along with an outstanding team performance) is one for the ages. It doesn't get any better than this.

Flipped through some ESPN channels while eating lunch and Mel Kiper essentially argues if Jones comes back and can show out over the 2015 season like he just did in three games he'd be a Top-5 overall pick in 2016. That said, Kiper thinks *somebody* would take Cardale in the 2nd round this coming draft, because when you can take someone you know is a 1st round talent in the second round, you do it. Always.

Cardale Jones: 'I'm not ready' for NFL

"I mean, it's very odd," Jones said at Tuesday morning's news conference for the title game winners. "You know, I'm going to be starting three games in three years, and you know, guys play their whole career to have that buildup and have that motivation to play in the NFL. In my personal opinion, I'm not ready for that level yet. I mean, like coach [Urban] Meyer said, it's a conversation me and him will have later down the road. But to me right now, it's far out."

Meyer said he's not ready to talk about what the team's quarterback situation will look like next season, but he reiterated late last week that he expected Miller to return. Barrett told reporters after Monday's game that he expected all of the quarterbacks to return.

"At some point I think I'll be ready to comment on it and have that conversation," Meyer said. "... At some point there will be some conversations, and I think you guys know by now we're pretty transparent about everything we do, and at the appropriate time we'll have those conversations."

Meyer was also asked Monday about his interest in the NFL, and he said, "Not right now."

"I've got a commitment to Ohio State and these players," Meyer said. "I love what I'm doing. Not right now."

Mr. Jones has carved out a place for himself as a legend in Ohio State football history. This is one of the greatest teams in our history, and what he did to finish off the season is, indeed, legendary. First three starts are the B1G Championship, the Sugar Bowl against #1, and the National Championship, and he stepped in like he'd been doing it all along. Really, who does that?

Huevos mas grande!!

Two or three years in the NFL and Meyer will be right back in the hospital. He's already at the perfect place for him, right where he's at. He's not a NFL-type coach, just like Saban wasn't. Both are made for coaching college kids...

What other quarterbacks in the world can say that he has as many championships per start as Cardale Jones does? In 3 games, he has the Big Ten championship, a Sugar Bowl championship, and a National championship. He's going to start against Chumpville University next year, and wonder why there's no celebration stage at the end.

Either that or he'll sign as a free agent with one of the teams going to the Super Bowl and win it. What other championship is left?
