QB Cardale '12 Gauge' Jones (B1G Champion, National Champion)

Maybe I missed it, but have we not offered Cardale yet because of the offer to the QB in FL?
This kid seems like a nice talent that we should keep in state and provide some depth at one of our most important positions once TP is gone.

Wad, assuming Braxton verbals to OSU and the FL Qb goes elsewhere do you think Jones would be in line for an offer?

He's certainly on the short list in the discussion...along with Cole Stoudt, Kevin Sousa and Patrick Coyne. I personally think the staff has decided to pass on Uzomah, Brissett and Bridgewater. There are sure to be some other names that jump into the discussion. Another name to remember might be Myles Taylor-Hicks from Northland...I am interested to see how be bounces back from a broken wrist last year.

Scout $ - Jones Gives The Latest On His Recruitment
By Bill Greene
Posted Feb 18, 2010

He spoke with coaches from Penn State & Ohio State a lot this week... He's content with his relationship with OSU & will to wait patiently for an offer... He feels blessed to have his offers but would like to hear from Texas, Oregon, Miami-FL, & Southern Cal... The general concensus among the Scout guys was Jones was by far the top performer at the Raw Talent combine...

Saw some film of Jones that I hadn't previously seen...I might be turning the corner on him. Previously, I didn't think he would see an OSU offer...starting to think that might not necessarily be the case. The sooner Florida offers Randall, the better for Jones (and all other QBs on OSU's radar), IMO. Still might be a camp offer, with the built in advantage of no matter how big his offer sheet is by the summer, you can bet he will be at OSU's camp.

Should be plenty of room to stretch out

If i were a stud recruit, i would go just to ask the question, "Were any of you here way back when michigan won a game versus The Ohio State Univeristy?" or "Now how many 4 years classes came through here without a win vs tOSU?"

Rivals $ - Video: Glenville quarterback has elite skills

Needs a lot of work on his delivery - long, low windup at times, feet aren't set on most throws, seems to dip his chin bringing his line of sight down as he's releasing it... Looks more comfortable when throwing on the move but I don't see any "wow" plays made with his legs... A couple of decent shots down the field but none squeezing it in a window... There's not enough here to convince me he's a BCS level prospect... JMHO
