Purdue needed a questionable possession call on a ball that went out of bounds with 5.4 seconds left, plus a clutch JaJuan Johson jumper to beat Penn State in West Lafayette, but they looked very solid Saturday when Sparty came to town.

The Buckeyes made 36 of 42 free throws (85.7 percent) in the two wins after entering the week shooting 68.8 percent from the line. They also limited Iowa and Illinois to 10 three-point field goals in 38 attempts. The two stats were the primary game-changers in the win over the Illini.
Ohio State has lost once in its past 14 Big Ten home games, and Purdue was the team to do it last Feb.17. The Boilermakers return without injured star Robbie Hummel available but have compensated nicely. They are ranked No.14, still have two of the Big Ten's best players in JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore and, with a repeat win here, would tie the Buckeyes atop the Big Ten standings.
the above will not happen because Matta will not play Sullinger on Moore. #1 Sullinger is too valuable as a rebounder to stray too far from the basket.kippy1040;1862197; said:Moore and Johnson looked very good against Michigan State. There is a lot of balance between those two. I can see Lauderdale covering on Johnson but will Sullinger play Moore if he is outside at the forward position. I did not see too much of the pick & roll against sparty saturday and wonder if they will try this against us tommorrow night.

#2 Moore is quicker than Sullinger on the open floor and might get him into foul trouble.
Lauderdale & Sullinger against Johnson & Moore is not a good matchup for Ohio State on defense. We gave away too much IMO
