Proof of the Existence of God

I'm not going to comment on these (not going to be rude, but I'm not going to get into another 2-3 day long argument again. Hope you understand ). But the one thing I will say is this. I never said these things are happening as we speak. I figured that was implied when I said we were near the end times. I guess not.

Mac,

What are your opinions on science given your strong religious background?

Do you believe most of it, distrust most of it, or fall somewhere in between?

I will get to why I ask this a bit later.

No problem.

Then I will speak quickly in kind.

IF the British Mandate for Israel was the commencement of the End Times as many evangelicals feel, THEN would you please let me know when what you're going to believe about the End Times when 2018 (70 years passes) comes and goes and they're no Second Advent? By that time, you're looking at the expiration of a "generation" as is the common theological consideration.

Ultimately, Mac, this isn't the first time that people have thought they lived in the End Times. It's happened nearly every century since the words were "written".

Understandable. But you're trying to put a timetable on something that I or anyone else knows the answer to.

I'm sure that is true.

As I told Muffler, I'm not looking to get into another drawn out debate.

What kind of science are we talking about here?

Let's be clear that I'm not the one putting a time table on it. I'm talking about the issue of Israel becoming a state commencing the End Times. You used it in your list. The combination theological and escatological thought is that the End Times will commence within one generation's time of Israel's re-establishment. The generational time within the last century has been anywhere between 20 and 70 years. Hence the date that I gave you. If you're not of that ilk, then so be it. I just don't know what you have to base your beliefs on then.

I honestly don't remember anything about, within one generation's time of Israel's establishment, in the bible.

so where did that scientifically unexplainable first thing come from?
I don't know. Humans don't yet have the means to test certain theories, primarily those for quantum gravity and singularities. That doesn't mean it's "scientifically unexplainable". Nothing is scientifically unexplainable.

Why is a deity an acceptable explanation to you?

And there's a reason why you have this faith, yes?
You assume that there was ever "nothing."

You assume that there always was something. How can that be?
AND if there was, what was it. how did it get there? When was the last time you something made from nothing?
So tell me how the first thing ever to be got there?
