Premier League (Official Thread)

In comparison, ESPN Sunday night baseball gets 2.5 million viewers on average. That is just an average. Games like Yankees/Red Sox get close to 5 million and that is still just an ordinary regular season game.

Sure, those are Sunday night vs. Monday late afternoon, yet Sunday night baseball is not exactly big for ratings. I doubt ESPN is lining up a ton of premier league games due to this.

I don't think you could possibly trivialize the importance of the distinction between prime time on Sunday and the middle of the work day on Monday. I mean, I REALLY wanted to watch that match. I tried to tape it, but ESPN switched it over and ruined my recording. And I'm one of the people that would have watched if I were at home and it was West Brom playing Sunderland.

How the fuck is Norwich leading at Arsenal, 2-1 in the 69th minute? It was that score at halftime, when I turned it on (ESPN2).

Arsenal has been all over them in the 2nd half. Only a matter of time for the equalizer.

They dodged a couple bullets from Norwich early in the second but you're right about the last 20 minutes have been all Arsenal.

And there it is, 2-2.

Whoa, Norwich equalize in the 85th minute, 3-3. Arsenal's champions league status for next season is still very much in doubt.

What a catastrophe this could turn out to be for the Gunners. Spurs still have to play @ Aston Villa (4-6-8 at home) & home vs. Fulham, while Newcastle get City at home & @ Everton. Looks daunting for Newcastle but with the 2-0 defeat of Chelsea, they HAVE to believe they can make the UCL as well was ruin City's season tomorrow. Spurs have an easier route going to Villa Park, where Aston Villa have been dreadful all season, but have a tricky finale at home vs. Fulham.

Either way, all three teams will be cheering for Bayern Munich to defeat Chelsea come the 19th.

Jose Enrique caught napping & it's that man again, Ramires, ready to pounce on the counter. Pepe Reina has been just dreadful all season which is shocking because he's always been top class.
