Premier League (Official Thread)

I'm all for backing your players, but backing JT and going down backing JT is rather funny (even though that probably wasn't the only reason Capello resigned).

Considering the list is comprised of just one person (for most England supporters), Harry can hold the FA up for ransom (even though that wouldn't be kosher).

I personally thought Joe Hart should've been the starter in Game 1 in South Africa (against USA) just due to his form with Birmingham. But he didn't play.

Yeah Joe Hart should of gotten the start.

Sucks that betting Jose Mourinho as the next Spurs coach won't get a good price (maybe 5/9 or so). But he'll probably get Champions League play in his first season back in England at White Hart Lane.

Very healthy discussion of English football and the national team this morning on Talksport. Richard Keys and Andy Gray's show should be good Thursday.

You would honestly think that Luis Suarez would just "leave it" and get the whole thing over with rather than avoiding a meaningless pregame handshake and a half-hearted attempt to talk in the tunnel at half.

Instead, the thing drags on.

Kind of harsh statement from Sir Alex Ferguson:

"He's a disgrace to Liverpool Football Club, that certain player should not be allowed to play for Liverpool again."

Sadly, that whole ordeal completely overshadowed the game itself, which is just pathetic for all parties involved.

I think it got blown way out of proportion, but the fact the whole ordeal continued after the handshake fiasco made it despicable. There were supposedly some words said in the tunnel at halftime, Suarez played like a goon all game (Minus the goal) & Evra celebrated like he won the World Cup after they won, going so far as to do it right in front of Suarez.

An absolute shame by all parties involved.

Landon Donovan with another assist and Everton with a 2-0 lead over Chelsea...

...and the "Mad Russian" at Stamford Bridge is sharpening his guillotine.

Donovan and Robbie Keane are really performing on their loans. Kind of a shame both are heading back to the MLS shortly and not sticking until the end of the term in England. But they signed their own deals.

I'VE FUCKING HAD IT WITH THIS SHIT STAIN OF A FOOTBALL TEAM.

Chelsea, again, show what it would be like if a bunch of pansy bitchass aristocrats decided that they would like to play on the same team, lead by another pansy bitchassness filled manager who sounds like he just got done swallowing a bag of nails and always looks like someone punted his fucking cat into the stands before a match. I'm done. I'm just done hoping that they have an ounce of manhood left in them at all.

It's obvious to me that either they've had their dicks cut off by aliens or that they are just some bitches. And old, don't forget how fucking old they are.

How in the fuck do you spend that many millions of dollars on a team and then just play Stoke City style "lump it forward" ball for 90 minutes? And then in the next match, hmmm, let's do the same shit. Let's hire a new manager. Then let's cut his balls off and make him do the same shit with the same players. Fuck you Chelsea, Saturday morning is for easy, good times.

Watching them try and play the beautiful game makes me want to cut my eyes out. And after I do that I'd still probably have a better pass completion % than that joke of a team.

Gunners back into the Top 4 with an injury-time winner by an MLS player

All three MLS loanees are really working out well with their squads.

Considering I don't think Roman Abramovich is a stable person -- meaning he probably fires guns inside his mansion -- I look forward to see his reaction after falling again (and winless in the past four). Still in the Champions League though.

FSC has completely crapped out on me. Every channel I subscribe to is working right now except that one, so I'm not getting to see Spurs tear apart Newcastle in the first half. Furthermore, it looks like it's the only EPL game that they're showing from today that they're not going to replay at some point later in the day. I'm left to rely on push notifications on my phone and iPad instead. :smash:

Watching and I can only imagine the relief or weight lifted off of Harry's shoulders from the court case ending (regardless of his culpability).

And his team is playing like they want him to stay and not take the England job (formality).

As a Spurs fan, you're missing entertainment no doubt. Modric, Adebayor & Saha are running Newcastle rampant. Coloccini is being demolished on the left side. Adebayor can do no wrong, three assists.....make it four now as Krancjar just bagged a goal. It's getting ugly at WHL

Didn't realize that Ryan Taylor was that important to the Toon defense :)

Still laugh at Alan Pardew taking himself out of the England job contention. "Keys and Gray" on Talksport are really making fun of that as well.
