Premier League (Official Thread)

That was a second-choice CB from the Portuguese league rounding your keeper in stoppage time, Hammers. LOL.

Like I said before, Naughton is a turd. They were marginally better without him, even down a man.

Also, Harry Kane is my hero.

Bets for next week's matches have been posted. They are:

Crystal Palace v. West Ham United - south versus east in this London derby
Everton v. Arsenal - an early battle of top-4 contenders
Tottenham Hotspur v. Queens Park Rangers - Harry Redknapp returns to White Hart Lane in this London derby
Manchester City v. Liverpool - last year's champion and runner-up clash
For now, I'm trying to make sure we have bets for any matches that are between top-four contenders, and any derbies. I missed one London derby last week (Arsenal v. Crystal Palace). I'm also going to try to have bets for any other matches with interesting sub-plots (like the Liverpool v. Southampton match this week.)

Word got out that Palace was going to hire Malky Mackay as their new manager. He was all but announced. He had previously worked with Palace's sporting director Iain Moody. Cardiff City filed a complaint with the FA over bigoted conduct by both Mackay and Moody when the two were employed by that club. Moody has already resigned. Mackay has been eliminated from consideration. Palace is supposedly now considering Tim Sherwood. Oh, and Cardiff is also pursuing legal action against Palace for spying on their tactics before a match last season.
