Begovic having a worldie. Could easily be 4:0 or worse if not for several excellent saves.

Stoke have the makings of a relegation side. Mark Hughes seems to be trying to get them to play less cynically, but the squad is still full of the anti-footballing donkeys that Tony Pulis assembled. That seems like a recipe for a poor season.

My early verdict on NBC's coverage so far: top class in every aspect. The difference between NBC coverage and FOX coverage is like the difference between Waffle House and a steak house. Can't wait for MOTD tonight. I hope it stacks up to the BBC version so I don't have to browse a bunch of shady websites to find a stream anymore.

The one complaint one may have is Kyle Martino never played in the Premier League to serve as NBC's analyst (which might not fly in other countries such as England).

But NBC counter-acts that by having the other analysts who did.

Considering the lack of live-sport programming NBC has for NBCSN (EPL and NHL mainly), it seems sensible for the company to throw so much behind EPL coverage.

Makes a lot of sense also because television is in DIRE need of something on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Harsh call on Koscielny carded and the penalty given for Villa and Benteke. Clean tackle, but from the referee's angle I can see how he missed it.

Even when it's clean it's risky to make that kind of tackle in that part of the pitch. Gooners should be more upset about the terrible giveaway that put him in that position.

...and now he gets sent off. Brilliant. I'm surprised it didn't happen to somebody else sooner. This match is very chippy.
