Lest anyone get too uppity, this is almost word-for-word what Nathan Williams did as a senior in high school.

This may not come off too well, but what I wouldn't give to have Chase Rome on our offensive line right now.

I don't recall that Nathan threatened the officer and his family as he was being brought in.

A Bama player didn't want all of the publicity to go to LSU.

CBS

On the heels of the suspensions for three key LSU players comes the news that Crimson Tide freshman running back Brent Calloway was arrested early Friday morning and charged with second-degree possession of marijuana.

Per the Tuscaloosa News, Calloway was booked shortly after 12:45 a.m. and has since been released from Tuscaloosa County Jail. A vehicle in which Calloway was a passenger was stopped by police for not having its lights on, and according to officers a search produced a small bag of marijuana in Calloway's possession.

A Crimson Tide spokesperson said that Nick Saban had been informed of the arrest and would deal with Calloway's punishment within the program. "Coach Saban is aware of the situation and like all other disciplinary action, this will be handled internally," he said.

I like that bolded quote - don't let the NCAA get involved with Trent Richardson's wheels or him signing clothing at the men's clothing store, just handle it all internally.

As a cynic, I wonder who else was in the car - another player whose suspension would be more serious for the team?

Pulled over for not having on lights................what exactly leads to having the car and persons in it being searched?
Consent, smell of marijuana inside the car which gives you probable cause, smell of marijuana on the person or other signs that someone is under the influence, the marijuana in plain view, etc...

Police: Stun guns used on Montana players

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) -- Police officers used stun guns to subdue two University of Montana football players Sunday morning after the team returned following a game Saturday at Northern Arizona. Sgt. Collin Rose said quarterback Gerald Kemp and cornerback Trumaine Johnson scuffled with police officers who responded to a noise complaint at about 2:40 a.m.
Rose said one player struck an officer in the chest with an open hand and the second player grabbed the officer to prevent the arrest of his teammate.
Both players bonded out of the Missoula County Jail on Sunday on misdemeanor charges that include obstructing a peace officer and resisting arrest.
