A black dude gets stopped in Arkansas for no license plate lights??? Get out!

Seriously, though.

Fuck that shit. I've been pulled over TWICE south of the MDL for being a black guy with broken plate-lights.

Second time the asshole cop didn't know how to run the out-of-state plates correctly and after nearly 2 hours of him diddling himself in his patrol car he almost had me arrested and had my car impounded because he was "sure" I had stolen it. Needless to say I got his name and after he let me go on good faith (nothing substantial to risk his job over) I reported him. Got a lovely letter from the county saying these mix-ups happen all the time and there was nothing they could do but apologize.

Fucking Oklahoma.

Blackmon's speeding/DUI has earned him a 1-game suspension from Mike Gundy.

Regarding the last line in this quoted section - I think somebody will make him answer that question fairly soon also - if he wants to keep playing this year.

CBS

[Gundy]Don't go after him, BB73! He's just a kid! Come after me! I'm a man! I'm 40![/Gundy]

OhioU players rush bar staff, Boo Jackson hospitalized

ATHENS, Ohio — Athens police were called to a campus-area bar on Friday to break up a fight between members of the Ohio University football team and bar staff.

In a news release issued by the Athens Police Department on Sunday, Lt. Randy Gray said several team members were involved in an altercation at the Courtside Bar, located at 85 N. Court St., including senior quarterback Franshaw "Boo" Jackson.

When officers arrived they found Jackson unconscious with a "small amount of blood in his mouth from an apparent injury to his lip."

Police said it appeared the fight started when several members of the football team attempted to "rush the south door of the bar in an effort to gain entrance for one or more people who were either underage or had no identification."

When bar staff attempted to block the group from coming in, the fight started.

Coach Frank Solich was called to the scene to help collect and calm team members, Gray said.

Officers were not able to determine who threw the first punch so no charges were filed, police said.

Jackson was transferred to a Columbus hospital because there was concern that he may have a facial fracture and a concussion, police said.

Coach Solich was seen walking the right way down Union Street toward the malaise. He looked confused and when asked where he was going he replied, "I'm not quite sure, usually when I leave BW3s I drive the other way down this street."

Arizona State punter busted for DUI

When Arizona State was in Los Angeles losing to USC on Saturday night, it was without its punter. Trevor Hankins, who is third in the nation with a 47.09 yards per punt average, didn't make the trip, but there had been no explanation for his absence from Dennis Erickson or the team. We have one now, though.

The good news is that Hankins isn't hurt. The bad news is that he's currently suspended following an arrest for DUI.

Hankins was pulled over at 1:23am on Friday morning in Scottsdale after making two u-turns and drifting into another lane. When the police pulled him over, Hankins told them that he was on the way to pick up a couple of friends who were too drunk to drive themselves, and that he pulled the U-turns because he thought he left his wallet at a store.

Cont'd ...

He was drinking Mich Ultras at Indians Stadium. Looks like he had plenty of DDs.
