Illinois LB arrested for battery, suspended

It's been a pretty frustrating last few weeks for Illinois football. The team was at 4-4, and only had to split its final four games against beatable teams like Michigan, Minnesota, Northwestern and Fresno State to get back to a bowl game. So far the Illini have dropped one to Michigan in triple-overtime, and just lost at home to Minnesota -- a team that had won one game and fired its head coach earlier this season.

So, it would be hard to blame anybody on the team from being upset, but even so, that doesn't mean you should go out and beat the crap out of somebody. Which is apparently what sophomore lineback Evan Frierson did. Frierson was arrested for aggravated battery, and has been suspended indefinitely according to a team spokesman.

Frierson has played in limited duty this season, playing in nine games, but only making six tackles. He played more as a freshman last season while helping to fill in for Martez Wilson, who missed most of the 2009 season with a neck injury.

Another Mascot Behaving Badly!

http://msn.foxsports.com/collegefoo...ts-mascot-cited-for-disorderly-conduct-120410

Cincinnati's Bearcat mascot was cited for disorderly conduct after a snowball-throwing incident in the stands during a game against Pittsburgh.
Heavy snow covered the field and stands for the Big East game on Saturday afternoon. When Pitt's Dion Lewis scored the second of his three touchdowns in the half, students pelted him with snowballs and were told to stop.
A school spokesman says the mascot also was told to stop throwing snowballs in the stands and pushed a security guard, knocking both of them to the ground. The mascot was detained and cited. He was not identified.
"He was throwing them at the crowd and so of course, people threw back and missed him and hit other people," University of Cincinnati Police Capt. Jeff Corcoran told the Cincinnati Enquirer. ?The officer asked him to stop and he took exception to that.?
A backup mascot took his place at halftime.

OK, fess up, who knew there was a backup mascot?

Former scUM RB Grady achieves a .30 BAC in a DUI

http://badjocks.com/2010/12/07/former-u-of-michigan-running-back-blows-impressive-30-bac-makes-rankings-for-second-time-kevin-grady/

You remember Kevin Grady, don’t you? Back in July of 2008 he was found passed out behind the wheel of his GMC Yukon Denali at 2 am on a Grand Rapids, Michigan street corner. At that time he jumped into the Top Ten of our World Famous BadJocks BAC Rankings (not to be confused with the notoriously inaccurate BCS Rankings) after blowing an impressive blood alcohol concentration of .281% . Now, a little over two years later the now former Wolverine was arrested for DUI again, less than two miles from where his first arrest occurred. This time though, Kevin outdid himself and blew a .30% BAC, a level at which most people aren’t alive, much less driving.

For the record, according to Loyola Marymount University, .300 Many people lose consciousness. We are talking surgical anesthesia levels.
