@Gatorbet - You think Meyer plays Dunlap this weekend announcing that his policy is innocent until proven guilty?
I have no idea. I would certainly hope not. The thing to me is that he was out past curfew. I will not go into my opinion of the GPD, but I do not have to believe the entirety of the report to think that the mere fact of the curfew break and distraction of a criminal charge - now - is worth the sit down.

This just in: Meyer suspends Dunlap for the SECCG, and depending on his meeting with Carlos' parents and the further investigation of the facts surrounding the incident, perhaps the BCSCG or Sugar Bowl.

Ex-Michigan cornerback pleads in assault case

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- A former Michigan cornerback charged with sexually assaulting a woman has pleaded no contest to aggravated assault in the case.

Thirty-year-old James Lavell Whitley on Thursday pleaded to the lesser charge in Washtenaw County Circuit Court. Sentencing is Jan. 21. A no contest plea is not an admission of guilt, but is treated as such for sentencing.

Defense lawyer Todd Flood says Whitley is satisfied the case is being resolved.

Police say a woman told officers Whitley assaulted her Jan. 18 at a friend's apartment in Washtenaw County's Pittsfield Township, about 35 miles west-southwest of Detroit. He was charged with criminal sexual conduct.

Whitley was a Wolverines co-captain but was dismissed from the team after being arrested in 2000 on a gun charge.

Buckner caught 45 passes, including 4 TDs, this past season.

Speculation, but perhaps Longhorns shouldn't date Aggies. :wink2:

Texas wide receiver Buckner to transfer after arrest

Texas wide receiver Dan Buckner is looking for a new school after his arrest on Thursday and subsequent announcement he will transfer.

Buckner was charged with criminal trespass and resisting arrest in College Station when he was asked to leave an apartment by an acquaintance and police and he refused.

The sophomore was third on the Longhorns with 45 receptions and totaled 442 yards with four touchdowns. He also had a two-point conversion catch in the national championship game against Alabama.

Buckner was expected to have a larger role in the offense with top wide receiver Jordan Shipley finishing his career. Now new quarterback Garrett Gilbert will enter next season without two of the team's top returning receivers.

"I've really enjoyed my time at Texas, but we've talked about my situation and I think it is best for me to get a fresh start and transfer to another school," Buckner said. "I will miss all of my teammates, but will be keeping up with everyone and always cheering on the Longhorns."

University officials say the three have been charged with felonious possession and discharge of a weapon after an early morning incident on campus.

Drew, the only one who saw action last season, made one start and played in all 12 games at defensive tackle. He made 34 stops and one fumble recovery.

Pierre-Louis is accused of entering the girlfriend’s home, pinning her against her will and attempting to choke her, according to the police report. Pierre-Louis threatened “I could kill you” and also took her into a bathroom to attempt to strangle her, according to the report.

The woman managed to escape and contact the police.

He is a native of Haiti. His parents survived last week's earthquake, but their family home was destroyed.
