Ok, fine, but he wasn't carrying it legally. He was carrying it in his pocket, like a gangsta wannabe with no license or permission for concealed carry. That's not any kind of ok for a professional athlete and role model.


I agree with your method of evaluation regarding localities to drink in. :biggrin:

Burress is in limbo as controversy swirls

NEW YORK -- Taken to court in handcuffs, Plaxico Burress posted $100,000 bail on weapons-possession charges yesterday as the frenzy grew around the Giants star receiver who accidentally shot himself in a Manhattan nightclub.

Authorities said teammate Antonio Pierce was being investigated over his role in the weekend shooting, while the Giants weren't sure what action they would take, if any, against Burress. The NFL said it was monitoring developments. Mayor Michael Bloomberg said it would be an outrage "if we didn't prosecute to the fullest extent of the law."
Burress shot himself in the right thigh about 1 a.m. Saturday, police said. He did not have a permit to carry a handgun in New York.

Sweat pants? Didn't realize he went to Wal-Mart right before the club.

Now that I've had time to think about this situation, it all makes sense. He needed the gun because he went to Wal-Mart on Black Friday.
