Plaxico Burress (is the safety on?)

Two years seems excessive. He didnt seriously injure anyone but himself. Seems like a statement from the NYC DA.

Yes. Don't bring hand guns into nightclubs. More specifically don't bring handguns into nightclubs with a round in the chamber and the fucking safety off.

Anyone dumb enough to accidentally shoot himself is dumb enough to accidentally shoot some poor innocent bastard. Many on this board have teenage children. What if one of them was in a nightclub minding their own business and was shot by some stupid piece of shit like Buress just because he wants to play gangsta?

Cocksucker is lucky he didn't blow his own balls off and lucky to only get 2 years.

In all honesty, carrying a loaded piece, with the safety off, in a crowded nightclub seems a lot more dangerous to the public (statistically speaking) than driving with BAC over the limit. The consequences of these two cases notwithstanding, I guess I see Plax being out of the game for the next two years to be appropriate. His actions were boneheaded beyond belief.

Seems to me the consequences of their actions should be more important than any, alleged, statistics. The only victim of Plax's crime was himself. Stallworth's crime killed somebody.

NYC doesn't look tough on crime here. They look silly.

The only good thing i see is if PB has saved his money, and invests it wisely the next two years, he should be in good shape. He be spending much in prison. Stallworth negotiated a settlement with the victims family. PB is a knucklehead. Stallworth is an idiot. I hope both can get their lives in order.

Plax did something just as dangerous as Stallworth. Luckily for innocent bystanders Plax only hurt himself where Stallworth killed a man. Buress could have just as easily killed someone as Stallworth did.

I don't think they look silly at all.
