Pittsburgh Steelers (official thread)

I said it in April and I still say it now.... They should have taken Jordan Davis out of Georgia and rode with Trubisky/Rudolph all year, secured the #1 pick and taken Stroud in the spring.
That perfect scenario would’ve probably never worked out. I’m happy with Pickett, and get an OT in mid 1st round

The second-year player was making an appearance at a car dealership near Pittsburgh on Wednesday when the 2023 Genesis he was using was stolen from the parking lot.

It didn’t take police long to recover the vehicle and the playbook.

The suspect left his personal vehicle at the dealership, and police ran the license plate on the car to find him. The stolen car was recovered at the suspect’s house 30 minutes after it was taken.

A man was arrested in the theft.

Just sayin': Sounds like a finalist for the Darwin Award.....

Former Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell finally admits he made a mistake

This week, former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell went on the Steel Here podcast and decided to spill all the tea over his career. He talked at length about a number of hot-button topics, one of which was the ill-fated choice Bell made to get greedy and sign with the New York Jets in 2019.

“It was like a little petty, the guarantee stuff . . . I’m thinking could I have just ate it,” Bell wondered. “Yeah, I probably could’ve, yeah, I probably could’ve really ate it.”
.
.
.
What Bell did is a cautionary tale for any young player who doesn’t really understand their value in relation to the team around them. Bell was a tremendous talent but it was as much about his fit with the Steelers and his teammates and coaches that made him so successful. Bell or any player than downplay a mistake like this all they want but knowing he squandered what might have been a Hall of Fame career over a little bit of money is something Bell has to live with.

Update:

"I never apologized to the fans for really sitting out, or leaving the Steelers," Bell said. "I never apologized. So I want to say I apologize for leaving the best damn fans there is in this damn world. I shouldn't have left. I apologize, I should never have left. I apologize. That's my fault. That's on me."
