Pittsburgh Penguins (Official Thread)

So I went to the game last time and I have to say Pittsburgh fans were pretty awesome. So much different than the Penguins fans in Columbus. They were passionate, but not arrogant or belittling. I really enjoyed it even though the CBJ lost.

Fleury is the dumbest goaltender I've ever seen and I won't spend another cent on this team until he and Bylsma aren't on it. They're both a disgrace and I'd be fired from my job long ago if I were as horrible at it as they are at their jobs.

The sooner they get vokoun in the better. However I have no doubt fleury will again be in net.

Got by the Jackets but it wasn't easy. Malkin finally ended his playoff goal drought in game 6 and they needed all 3 of them. Crosby still hasn't scored since the Ottawa series last year. Up next are the Flyers or Rangers. Philly has been a thorn in the Pens side so I guess I prefer NY but no series is going to be easy for this team.

Either way it's fleury vs two very good goalies. I'd rather play NY simply because Pittsburgh and especially #29 meltdown in Philadelphia. If we do play Philadelphia I expect many stupid Pittsburgh penalties in games 3, 4, and probably 6. Philadelphia is a nightmare opponent for Pittsburgh and our over reactive undisciplined tendency when baited.

We can beat either NY or Philadelphia but it depends on fleury and our ability to stay cool. Hit them on the scoreboard not after the whistle and that's a big step to taking down the flyers

Back-to-back shutouts on consecutive days to take a 2-1 series lead over the Rangers should put the "OMG, Bylsma and Fleury suck!" meltdowns on hold, at least for a day or two. :roll1:

You got exactly what you wanted in getting the Rangers instead of the Flyers, not to mention they've had to play two back-to-backs & five games in seven days. You should just hope if you make it to the Conference Finals that you don't have to face Boston again. How do you guys fare against Montreal ?

Would rather see Montreal than Boston. If the Pens keep playing defense like they are right now, they can beat Montreal. Boston is a problem for the Penguins.

If Bylsma can keep out of the way of this team, they could be contenders. Sadly, he put Orpik back in tonight despite the defense looking awesome without him.

Well, Orpik's right knee just exploded so you'll be getting your wish of not seeing him again this season.

Kunitz-Crosby-Malkin dominate every shift as you'd expect. New York has no answer for them, or anything else for that matter.

Was just going to say Fleury is being Fleury again after that Zuccarello goal, but then New York collapsed defensively again.
