The puck bounced on him, not really much he could do about it. There have been a handful that are much worse. Dennis Wideman, Kovalchuk earlier this season I believe.. just off the top of my head.

But it was fucking terrible, just like the Penguins in this game. They're going to lose the series.

You can only go so far winning games 3-2, 2-1 and about 20% of them in shoot outs. The Pens have done very well with what they've had to work with after losing two of the best players in the NHL, but their ceiling is lower this year.

The three best offensive weapons on the ice are all wearing Tampa Bay sweaters this series. That's just the way it is this season.

3) Defensive lapses
4) Penalty kill
5) Taking very ill-timed, stupid penalties
6) Third defensive pairing
7) Lack of adjustments (specifically on the PP)

The Pens are 3-0 this series when scoring exactly 3 goals (and no more). They're 0-3 when scoring 2 or less. That's not a goalie problem.

Giving up 4 or more goals the pens are 0-3. Giving up 2 goals or fewer, the pens are 3-0. Thats not a goalie problem ???

I understand you guys are missing people, every team is. My point is just that MAF isnt playing the greatest in net. He is capable of more.

If Pittspuke loses tonight and with Shitcago losing last night, maybe the NHL will rig it so the Wings get to the finals so the series will get some sort of ratings :atom:

You seem to be under the misguided impression that people who frequent this thread give a rat's ass about the team from the shittiest city in the nation. Detroit makes Pittsburgh and Chicago look like resort towns.

I don't think anyone is optimistic. I'm just hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

This team isn't going to win the Cup, but it would be nice to get out of the first round after leading 3-1.
