Crosby needs to get back on the ice, too. Guys like Savard and Bouchard have missed entire seasons due to concussions. Hope that's not the case with Sid but it's been a month, already. Malkin sure as hell won't be back - ACL & MCL. Ouch!

I didn't think I could hate a team more than the Flyers, then this game happened.

I wish nothing but awful things for that franchise. Burn, cease to exist, remain irrelevant, whatever. Just fuck the Islanders. Some dirty shit happened tonight, and it should make all hockey fans feel embarrassed..

Martin tries to punch Talbot from behind. Haley tries to fight the fucking goalie. Gillies elbows Tangradi in the head, then throws a punch at him when he's on the way to the ice. Gillies is still chirping at Tangradi when he's getting checked out by the trainer. Fuck them.

What are you inferring that the Pens did exactly?

Was it as dirty as punching an injured player as he's falling to the ice from an elbow to the head against the boards, or as dirty as swinging at an unexpecting player in the back of the head?

That game was a joke. The Islanders dressed four goons. It was obvious what their intentions were before the game even started. I don't think my opinion is wrong here, considering the 9 game suspension that Gillies got, the 4 game suspension that Haley got, and the $100k fine the Islanders organization got. The only suspension the Pens got was Godard for leaving the bench to defend the goalie from a NYI goon. I'd say the Pens did very little compared to what the Islanders pulled.

One player doesn't make the whole team dirty. It makes him dirty. And I agree that Matt Cooke is dirty.

I wish people would actually watch the Pens more than a couple times a year before they made these awesome posts.

They also happen to lead the league in penalty minutes and major penalties. So, objectively, yes, they are the dirtiest team in the league.

Not suprisingly, the Islanders are second.

Since when do penalties and fighting make you dirty? Again, watch the games. I've watched at least 40 Penguins games this year. They are simply not a dirty team, outside of Matt Cooke. They take a ton of stupid penalties (especially Cooke, but they all do to be honest).

Pens trade Goligoski for James Neal and Matt Niskanen.

Steal for the Pens imo. I'm a Goligoski fan, and I wish him the best, but James Neal is the best player in the deal and we also get Niskanen, who has showed some potential but been pretty average (at best) from what I've been reading.

Neal should be a monster with Sid. Or Geno. He's a perfect fit. Hopefully Despres is ready next year and can take Gogo's spot.

Interesting trade. I expected a move for a center but I'll take a scorer like Neal. I'm going to take the lack of a move at center to suggest the Pens expect Syd and Letestu back in March. We'll see...
