Pitt 36, Ntre Ame 33 (Final, 4 OT)

Not a fan of the pulling guard in short yardage. Takes too long and opens a gap. I don't like it when we run it, either.

I think I would've called a TO to rest McCoy rather than take him out. Howling sucks. Now it's 3rd and long.

This is why college football's version of overtime sucks. The defense does its job and stuffs the offense and the O gets rewarded by still being able to attempt a makeable field goal. The offense should have to at least get a first down.

Excellent! Now see ND, if only you played in the SEC (ignoring the fact that you'd be winless in that scenario) you'd be eligible for the NCG with a quality overtime loss like that!

God, horrible production by the offense in overtime! Gotta hand it to the defense, kept Pitt from getting a TD in all 4 overtimes, can't ask for more than that! Down right ugly production by the offense though. I commend Brandon Walker, the kicker. He has had horrible stats all season in field goal kicking, but he missed only 1 of 5 today. This one is on the offense, I think we called some bone head plays in OT for one, should have thrown some more out routes, the running game just wasn't there. O-line was blocking pretty poorly at the end though, letting defenders in when Pitt was rushing 3. Well done by Pitt, I thought this was a winnable game, we let them back into it and they played well the 2nd half.

I think the Ntre Ame ffensive line was out of gas at the end of the game and I think the Pitt defense exposed their lack of endurance.
