Pitt +16.5 at Notre Dame (ov/un 45.5) Sat 3:30 NBC

Computers in the BCS do not use margin of victory. So they could have won 100-0 or in OT, and it would all be the same in the computers.

This will be more harmful in the human voting.

Computers look at the strength of Pitt (about 80) and Pitts opponents (about 110). The computers will pull down ND badly after this; I'm guessing about 4.1 points on the Sagarin ELO. That would mean probably about two or maybe even three places, depending on the outcome of some remaining games (e.g., Alabama-LSU).

USC is a good football team, they are just coached by the worst coach in football. His deal with the devil must be one hell of a contract.

Oh, now I understand. A pact with the devil explains this

I always thought it was explained by this

Yeah, but why wait until the end of the game to mention that? It has been a known quantity for weeks. I guess I just find your timing a little strange. I think everyone already knew they would drop below Oregon (assuming Oregon wins), and there is no effing way they drop 3 places.

Unless the human voters knock them down that far consistently....

Well, you are entitled to your opinion and could be right. But, I'll stick with the two or three places on the computers.

There's a lot more in the models than win-loss. We'll see shortly!

Just the computers? OK, I was thinking BCS standings. They are #1 in many of the computers, so yeah, they could drop 3 places. Yet no way ND drops 3 spots in the BCS, and most likely will only drop 1.

They literally got a gift "from above" on that PI call that led to the TD. Absolute trash. ND is severely overrated. Should have lost that game their Jesus juice will run out at one point.

Completely agree. I told myself that ND was going to win after that PI, that was a crappy call. Pitt was up 20-9 at that point, and the play was 4th and 4, and the defender had no hands on the TE and got hand on the ball for the deflection, bad bad PI call. I do believe USC will beat ND.
