God forbid someone's situation changes and he decides to do something that will change his life along with his whole family's. Don't be so quick to criticize until someone puts a few million in front of you.

I'm not criticizing him leaving...hell I'd leave too. But don't say you're coming back. How hard is it not to announce that? Oden and Cook did a pretty good job...

Things changed very quickly after he said that. His stock soared faster than he could have imagined. He did nothing wrong by leaving. I know I have made decisions based on what I thought was best for me and then had second thoughts on what was best for everyone in my life.

Awww. Did he disappoint you? What a crybaby you sound like!!

People that make statements like that sound ridiculous. The kid put himself in position to make millions, led Ohio State to a dream season, and now you're upset that he's leaving? Be glad he was here as long as he was.

I think saying (Note - edited Bucks07 post) is a harsh critizing. Grow up. He thought he was coming back, things changed. Good luck to him and the other two in the NBA hopefully they can all make us proud.

You guys are right. I apologize. I've had a really terrible morning and this was just disappointment and frusteration. Of course I wish Mike nothing but the best of luck whatever he decides to do.

I'm pretty much tired of everyone speaking on other peoples behalf. That's been the most disappointing part of this whole thing to me. If the guys have an announcement to make...let them make it.

I'm not really sure Mike Conley or Daequan Cook wanted to wake up this morning to an Indy Star article with a quote from Greg Oden's dad about how they are turning pro.

We all wish they were staying but you have to just be grateful they gave us a great season to enjoy and get ready to cheer on the next class coming in.

I agree...that was just the pickle on the giant crap sandwich of my morning so far and I overreacted a bit. I don't blame any of them, I wouldn't think twice with that much money in my face.

If Mike does go professional, I will be interested in watching his career because I do not think he will be an immediate impact as a rookie unless his outside shooting improves greatly by next year. In the NBA you just can't take it to the rim like you can in college without getting hammered.

I will wish them the best of luck but I certainly don't hope he turns out like Eric Snow who is a great defender and distributor of the ball with no shot.

Yep. Especially at his height, he will need extended range to get good looks at the basket. He'll be able to get to the rim, but its different when Amare/Dwight/Yao/Shaq/Oden (???)/etc. are waiting for him there.
