saying his fav player is cleaves? or saying "ohio"
"ohio," of course. i see absolutely nothing wrong with his favorite player being mateen cleaves. in fact, mateen is a great court model for noopy. mateen had tons of heart, was a fiery competitor, and possessed an infectious desire to succeed.

CLASS B
At Goodrich

BEST MATCHUP: If Saginaw vs. Arthur Hill is the state's game of the year in Class A, Powers Catholic vs. Southwestern Academy is about as good as it gets in Class B. Fortunately, they can't meet until the district final at 1 p.m. Saturday.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Southwestern junior Anthony Crater is a joy to watch, making everyone around him better. He could score more, but his strong suit is dishing the rock. Nobody in Michigan does it better.

LOWDOWN: Powers has a cakewalk into the district final, but Southwestern can't afford to overlook Northwestern in the opener at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Powers is better equipped to handle Southwestern's pressure than it was a year ago with several good ball-handlers. Crater controls a game better than anyone and will be the difference in an even matchup.

DISTRICT FINAL: Southwestern over Powers

Top-ranked SWA outlasts No. 3 Powers Catholic

SWA lays it on the line
GENESEE COUNTY

Their season was on the line, and that hasn't been a happy place for Southwestern Academy this year.
When it mattered most, though - when a slim lead over Powers Catholic had to be protected, when 1,700 fans waited breathlessly on each shot, when failure wasn't an option - the Knights knocked down the free throws that kept their basketball season alive Saturday.
Tyrone Ward sank 3 of 4 foul shots in the final 90 seconds and Anthony Crater drained the final two with 1.9 seconds showing as SWA outlasted Powers 70-67 in a pressure-cooked Class B district championship game at Goodrich.
