PF/C Micah Potter (transfer to Wisconsin)

I really like Potter. I think he has very good basketball intelligence along with great footwork. Probably should play at the 4 position but probably does not have the handle to play that position. Sort of a tweener between the 4 and 5 which is too bad. Thompson cannot play an entire game because when the competition gets better he will be fouling out and we will need Potter.

Potter is also 4 for 4 in winning the opening tip i believe..not that it means anything but still...has to count for something right?

I can see that Potter is getting more and more comfortable on the floor with his spacing and pick timing offensive and also where he is supposed to be on the floor defensively, the kid has looked like a Freshman but he is growing noticeably and that's all you can ask.

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The start to the 2017-18 season probably didn't get off to the start that Micah Potter wanted.

Just one game after dropping a career-high 17 points in an 82-64 win over Texas Southern on Nov. 16, Potter suffered a high ankle sprain against Northeastern, an injury that forced him to miss the better part of a month.

Since returning from the injury, Potter appeared to struggle to find a rhythm in game action, scoring just 21 points in seven games since returning to full-time action off the bench for the Buckeyes.

That all changed Wednesday night against Northwestern.

In 16 minutes off the bench, Potter poured in 13 points – 11 in the second half – on a perfect 5-for-5 shooting as the Buckeyes escaped Rosemont, Ill., with a 71-65 win over the Wildcats to remain unbeaten in Big Ten play.
