Pew pew pew (I'm smarter than Kinch)

It is horrific enough that these people died. The fractures in American society are a tinderbox and I hope that everyone who can will do something to help unite its people.

It depends on the point of view of the narrator doesn't it?

From a different perspective I see this as an illustration of America and what makes it great. You have the bad actor showing us all the pain we must endure and risks we run from being part of a free society. You have the bigger story that, we just don't naturally focus on, where the average American citizens, being an absolute mix of races, genders, generations and every other category you can think of instinctively came together and helped each other through the crisis.

The one story I saw had a young black kid helping 30 some odd people until he was wounded then being helped by the older white cop who was wounded saving the kids life. Not directing at you Steve but how in the hell is the shooter a bigger indictment of our "lack of unity" than that story alone is an example of just how goddamn robust and healthy 95% of our society is?

Maybe we can all help to do our part by putting events in the proper perspective. One sick fuck vs hundreds of decent ones just doesn't equal society is hopelessly fucked imo.

His isn't one sick person. It's a national epidemic. Las Vegas was the worst, but this is an an almost daily occurence. Americans are killing themselves.
