As for playing high limit slots, it's a pretty easy way to launder money. All you have to do is figure out the 99.5% return machine, and play $10k daily. This isn't $10k money in, it's $10k total play. There will be days you go bust, and days you leave up, and overall you will be down, but you're down a calculated percentage over time. Put dirty money in machine. Take clean money out. Rinse. Repeat.
Edit: plus, you offset the taxes on jackpots with your losses. I know a couple (relatively) high rollers. They never pay taxes on the jackpots.
Edit2: plus, the father was a criminal. The brother is a 4x convicted felon. Apples falling from trees, and all that.

To be clear, the brother with the felonies is not the same one who's been making statements to the press. They have a younger brother, too.

I thought the one that was talking to the press was the youngest, the shooter the oldest, then 2 between them that they don't communicate with.

Yeah, what I was really trying to say is, he wasn't playing slots at all, or he was generating CTR's and not actually gambling much. Hell, the number of CTR's really just tells me that there's SO many transactions that the number itself will blur the source.

Once again, he was moving money like crazy at the end, its just as easy to bury a briefcase in the desert for her. (and maybe he did that too) But, there's nothing "safe" about that cash being wired to the Philippines unless its converted to cash and gone out of that account. And to do that she'd need to know she needed to do that before it all went down. So much for having no idea what was up. In the old days that's what the Turks and Caicos, Switzerland and all that shit were for. Also, her sisters live in Australia and that's what passport she carries. Point is, if he wanted her to have money, there's less obvious ways to do it.

True, but $100k is worth so much more in the PI than it is in the US or Australia. If he were to "bury a briefcase in the desert for her" and she found it, how is she going to get that money to the PI, provided it was a shit-ton, like $100k? Not sure about the laws in the PI, but maybe money wired to the PI by foreigners isn't subject to the same taxation/scrutiny as is money wired by PI nationals (she has an Australian passport, but did she maintain dual citizenship?), so it was best for him to do it. Maybe he just didn't think she was savvy enough to get $100k into the PI by herself.

thump, how does that video change everything? and, lvbuckeye, what do you think you hear? at the beginning of the video, there is the weaponry being fired, with expected echoes to follow. there are plenty of tall structures in las vegas for sound to bounce off of. at 1:08 there is the same.
my guess is you'll respond with the more distant-sounding charges at 0:45. sure, that is a bit odd, but understand that the guy fired like 200 rounds into the hallway. you're absolutely going to hear that from the street below. that's why it sounds distant and muffled. that's why you don't hear echoes for those shots.
otherwise, what's the possible explanation to be offered? that there was an assault rifle being fired from a second location?
