Wow. Just Wow. I just realized that this thread is completely useless. If you have EVER done what you just stated, and see absolutely no problem with your actions, anything at all that I say or could say is going to make no difference at all. I cannot think of any more naive and arrogant statement than the "hypothetical" situation and its possible ending that you posit above.

I don't think you have ever done this but I want to dare you, right now, to do so. Then come back here, and honestly state what happened. Don't qualify your statement, don't back pedal that strong opinion you gave us in the girls kissing girls thread.

While I disagree with your Conservative beliefs I'll give it to you for at least being consistent.

My thoughts on the matter and this thread are that 2 women, especially hot women kissing, is Fan-fuckingtastic. Not liking 2 hot chicks kissing is like breast reduction surgery.....they are both like a slap in the face to God himself. Just sit back, take it slow, and let the good times roll! :biggrin:

It's called dissent. I CHOSE to enter the thread to put in my own opinion. My opinion didn't match with the popular opinion, so I got some expected jeers for my unpopular opinion. And because it was getting off-topic, that's why I said that I was giong to stop there.

It's amazing how some of you became so worked up over one little sentence. I dropped the discussion after a few replies so that you could continue to enjoy that. Just imagine if I got this worked up everytime someone said "I hate Penn State" or called it "State Penn" or something like that. Simply adding to the thread with a reply indicating my dislike for the thread topic shouldn't be enough to get people this upset. It's amazing how sensitive people are to criticism that isn't even aimed at them, but at something they like.




I only briefly mentioned the political forum after I clarified my sentence and then dropped the subject so that you could continue to enjoy it.

Expression of dissent is a reality and it's going to happen no matter where you go. It doesn't pay to get so upset over something as stupid as a disapproval of a thread topic and to turn a criticism of the topic into a personal attack.



No, I was in the red because some people hated my "stupid" football question. Only one person gave me negative reputation because of that thread.

First, as already mentioned, you entered into a thread, that clearly labeled it's contents, and chose to speak your mind. Doing so is akin, albeit on a much lesser scale, to seeking out a pro-lesbian website for no other reason than to admonish that site's members/participants/subscribers for their actions/interests. Simply put, such actions are rude, and I doubt that you'd go so far as to do such a thing (even though doing so would still be analogous to your hypothetical of approaching someone reading/viewing a magazine).

Furthermore, the thread was not intended to be a discussion as to the morality/perversion issues that might accompany such a topic. As you pointed, such discussions are to be held in the poli-forum. Given your apparent inability to refrain from providing your unsolicited commentary on the issue, what you should have done, was to start a new thread in the political forum and label it something to the effect of "Girls kissing girls... I don't get it," and then feel free to provide an entire brain dump as to why you think such actions are abnormal/perverse/morally wrong.

On a side note, I admittedly found it to be kinda humerous, that at the time of my reading this thread, your rep meter ironically indicated you "could go either way." :wink:

FYI, since you're a newer poster here, I'll let you know that I'm a conservative-libertarian type that a fair number of borderline-commie posters :biggrin: in this forum have accused of being an ardent member/supporter of the vast right-wing conspiracy. So please understand that I'm not simply trying to pile-on here, but I am trying to help demonstrate where you went wrong in this instance, and help to point you in the proper direction going forward.

We allow a wide range of topics that can be discussed in the poli forum. I would like for you to know though that permission to discuss sensitive topics doesn't mean that your posts will be free from criticism or challenges from others. So if you do choose to post in the poli forum, I hope you have fairly thick skin.
