While that’s a bit extreme, I don’t blame anyone for protecting their vehicle against the litany of nimrods out there who could give 0 fucks about their vehicles. It takes little effort to not door ding other peoples cars. And, heaven forbid you walk an extra 20 feet rather than jamming your vehicle right on top of someone elses.

I’m with you on this. That said, I’m the one who wants to protect my doors and I’m the one who walks 20 extra yards from the nimrods. Parking like that is asking for trouble. You’re probably increasing your risk of damage done by parking across three slots than just parking away from the minivans and moms and hiking it yourself.

I'm so fucking tired of businesses being garbage. Almost every interaction I've had with a company over the last week+ has been shitty.
  • Trying to update payment info with dental insurance co? Billing system is down for three days. You made $7B last year and $10B the year before. Figure this shit out, Cigna.
  • Home cable and internet down AGAIN. Call U-verse -- oh, yeah....we'll get someone out in a couple days. Fuck off, I'm paying for this service and isn't working. And then it's working again and they call back to confirm the appointment -- uh, yeah....we cancelled that, dummies. And then they try to sell me on another service while I'm on the phone? Fuck you -- the shit I'm already paying for doesn't work.
  • Order a pizza last week on vacation -- go to pick it up? Oh, that never printed, but if you'll wait for another 20 minutes, we'll have it ready. Offer me a drink? Give me $5 off? Fucking do SOMETHING to acknowledge you fucked up.
  • Place we were staying dumped shit on the roads to keep the dust down and then emailed us that its really bad for your car and you shouldn't go over 5 MPH. Hey, fuckers -- I'm in the middle-of-nowhere WV, what the fuck makes you think I'm checking my email? Maybe have the folks are the guard gate TELL people this info or handout a flyer. Nah, you can find out when you get home and check your email!
  • Take the car through a car wash -- it doesn't do anything for the gunk, which is fine. I'm not surprised. This shit is nasty. But the rest of the car? Back window doesn't look like it got touched. Half the tires didn't get shine on them. Garbage -- it'd be cheaper and better to do it myself at one of the self-cleans.
  • Take my car to a person yesterday to have that shit cleaned off "Oh, yeah we'll go ahead and detail the whole outside while we're at it!" -- go to pick it up and feel the underside and it's like they didn't even touch that area. The only reason I fucking brought it here was FOR the underside. Not for the rest of the car. Come on, guys!

I can't say I have a list of incidents as detailed as yours, but having travelled a bit here and there during the past few months, I have to say that service is noticeably worse all over now in a variety of establishments than it was before the pandemic.

I'd have to take a few moments to think of some specific examples, but I definitely noticed it in different regions of the country.

Hope it wasn't important and you are ready for the "oh, we don't have any openings for 2 months" response when you try to re-schedule.

I don't know what the fuck is going on right now, but I'm about to turn into my dad on the next company that pisses me off. I try really hard not to take it out on CSRs but this shit is getting ridiculous.

Took my car to Mike's Car Wash since I have coupons from Christmas. My doors on the truck still had dirt and grass on them and the area was bone dry so no water even touched the area. Still had bugs on the front and pine needles were still in the area below my wipers. How the F do these places stay in business?
