People to Punch, Pet Peeves, and General Vexations (mega-merge)

So the gf and I went out to dinner last night for our 1 year anniversary at the melting pot. Not 5 minutes after we got our seats a table of 2 couple got sat in the booth next to us. I knew it was going to be bad when the last guy in the group came in talking on his cell phone very loudly trying to work out some business deal of some sort, and the women looked like she slept in a tanning bed and had a short fur coat on and an annoying voice. The entire time they were talking loudly and you could tell each couple was trying to one up each other and that money and status was the only thing that mattered to them.

To give you an idea the one guy complained that he had $90,000 of his own money tied up in a deal in which nothing was getting done because he had to deal with some minumum wage barely educated hilljack that wont let him do what he needs to get done. Another was saying he got some backwards eighty year old farmer to sign over his farm to him, but the way that he wrote the contract he wouldn't actually have to pay the whole million that he said he was going to pay him because he would get other people to pay for it by making them part of the deal. One of the wives was saying that she had to have at least 12 feet high ceilings in any home she lived in but ideally they would be much higher. and of course if it didn't have a gourmet kitchen then that will be a total deal breaker.

The one that made me madder than anything is the one couple lived in westerville school district. They talked about how they won't send their kid to westerville high school because it is to big and they can't pass a levy. Of course they said they won't vote for a levy recause thier taxes are already to high. blah blah blah.

I actually wanted to climb over the booth and stab these people with a fondue fork. You could just tell that they had no substance and were all about materialistic things in life.

God I hate people like that.

Isn't the people you just want to punch thread the same as the pet peeve thread?

I mean, I know I would LOVE to punch people who drive and:

1. Talk on their cell phone
2. Go 10 mph under the speed limit or more
3. Don't signal
4. Turn left without leaving enough room on their right for you to go around
5. etc, etc, etc
