Don't tell me what the ask is. Just ask me the goddamned question.

In the Army my version is, "It's an asker not a tasker."

Meaning these assholes asked us to send them people or equipment because they are too fucked up and don't want to go to the higher HQ for them to publish a tasking order requiring us to help.

That's usually the point when I start looking for a new dentist. My dentist growing up did that all the time and we just stopped scheduling the follow ups.

I’m not doing it. We had a Dentist before that we allowed to do it and then one of my wife’s teeth actually split and I fully believe that caused it.

True story about my late father. Dad (and me) take a long time to be numbed by novocaine and he felt that his dentist needlessly hurt him in previous visits. My mother took him to the dentist and heard the dentist screaming in pain just a few minutes after Dad sat down in his chair. As my mother got there, she heard Dad say, "Now let's not hurt each other". It was then that she noticed he had the dentist by the balls.
