Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

It's understandable why they think the refs are constantly screwing them. They went from "independent" crews hand picked from amongst former players by JoePa to Big Ten crews.

Going from never getting a call against you to sometimes getting a call against has obviously been quite the culture shock for them (not to mention going from Pitt, Syracuse, Temple, Navy every year to a Big Ten schedule) that they haven't gotten over in 20 years.

I'm sure things will be better for them in the ACC, though. Or Maybe they could join Boise State in whatever the hell conference they are in right now. JoePa and Penn State invented Boise State title runs before Boise State was even playing D-1 football.

Hell, the two schools should create their own conference made up of former WAC teams and the worst Mountain West teams. Then they wouldn't even have to schedule a mildly competitive OOC game because their "title shot" game is right in conference. Whoever wins the annual matchup between Boise State and Penn State can begin the annual "we deserve a shot at the title despite only play one decent BCS team" bitch fest.

Those two schools are a match made in heaven, and I feel like going back to the Boise State school of national relevance would be a truly fitting tribute to Joe Paterno's legacy.

Everyone outside of un-Happy Valley is well aware of the home cookin' that went on for years there. More than one visiting coach was upset by the ref bias and complained but because it was a good payday they put up with it.
Is it just coincidence that the Big 33 just switched from playing Ohio to lowly Maryland just after a series of lost games in spite of obvious home cookin' by the refs? Ohio coaches have complained for years about the biased refs.

Believe the battle is lost...Reply I guess I was unrealistically optimistic that my fellow alums would bind together in defense of due process. 107,000 people to witness a rump Lion squad!? Rodney, Karen, Surma, and Fester say 'thank you very much.' And then proceed to turn over your hard-earned money to Emmert, Delaney, and the rest of a cast of corrupt fools!

Imagine the statement that could have been made by not supporting this travesty!

Our heritage has been erased, our leader has been disgraced without being given any benefit of the doubt after 60+ years of exemplary service, and the world of college football (and Big Ten refs, from what I have read) continues to beat up on us with no response.

But hey, we did all have great tailgate parties!

And to think, what we witnessed was our high water mark for then next 4+ years. The squad was poorly coached (there is a reason most coaches do not go for it on 4th and long - the percentages over time are overwhelmingly against it! Does anyone remember that dufus coach from Kentucky about 10-15 years ago? Where is he now?)

Does no one among us have any ideas on how to fight back? Or are we satisfied with 6-6 as the best we can do for the foreseeable future?

I'd rather not give them the satisfaction, reclaim some valuable time, and find new ways to spend my Saturdays until thissiege is lifted (Example: Bagged a huge gobbler on Saturday).

Sarge, any ideas?

Got to love there blinders

I can think of numerous calls over the years that the two teams they claim get every call going against them.

Every school has fans that think every call goes against there school, but it is normally a minority of the fan base. I don't think anybody in that valley of delusion ever thinks that a call was made right if it went against them.

The fact they care about the names of the refs this year is bad enough, but they actually remember names of refs for years gone by. I'm sure an insurance man just calls it against PSU and keeps his mouth shut. Can you imagine the pay day he could get for selling the story.

Go to any other BigTen team forums and you get a mix of homers and folks who seem to hate there own team... but the majority seem even keeled... (unless you hate there team :P). But I have a very hard time finding any PSU forum with a rational fan.

If they somehow win on Saturday, the pedsters will be the least of our worries. There will be a growing howl from Appalachian Ohio and the puffing out of green clad pigeon chests throughout the heart of it all.

Order is restored to the Universe.

Hell, it went far, far beyond never getting a call against you.

This is the work of the famous Ref Guzman(?). His son was actually on the fucking team.

That's why Pitt, Syracuse and all the rest of the old Eastern Independents ran as fast as they could from the Eastern Conference that JoePed tried to form in the 80s. They knew that he'd be de-facto commissioner and control the refs' office. The first thing they did when they landed in the Big East was to blackball JoePed, and that's how the corrupt old fuck ended up on our doorstep in 1990.

Everyone if you get a chance, rep Script Ohio for fighting the good fight against these subhuman scumbags. He's owning them on BWI.

Jesus, they're bringing up complete passes that should have been incompletions from ten years ago! They're not even amusing anymore. It's just sad and frustrating to read their shit. Nothing the entire country can say will ever sink in because the sad, pathetic JoePed myth is all the meaning their lives have.

What was the call on the play in the picture? I'm not familiar with that moment.
